Lilly's Story

Putting the book back in it's place, Lilly didn't feel any different. Nothing looked to be any different nor out of place. It was only when she stepped outside that it hit her. She looked at the cars parked out on the street. They all had a rather boxy, plain, conservative appearance. Lilly took out her phone. No reception. That was weird. She texted her best friend Abi but the message wouldn't send. Maybe her phone was bugging out. She walked the short distance to the phone shop and was surprised to find an old looking newsagents. Stepping inside she couldn't see anyone behind the till. The young woman tripped as a small stack of newspapers lay on the floor. Lilly took a closer look. Her jaw dropped when she saw the date.

1969.
