Life Without the Power

You wake up in a cold sweat. Early morning light is coming through the windows, illuminating your room with a purplish-orange glow.

You slowly sit up. Miranda is still asleep, on her back, her breasts sticking up about 8 inches. You wish for them to shrink.

Bookstores put them in the "horror" section.

You do eventually get used to living in this world. It helps that you and Miranda have two daughters who you get to see grow up, although you still occasionally have to catch yourself before you demand that they put more clothes on, and you have to try not to think about what they do at their "sleepover" parties, but eventually it all just becomes, more or less, normal.

Occasionally you flash back to the way things used to be, and it occurs to you that world seems much happier -- or at least more pleasurable -- than it did before that day when you had absolute power. So sometimes you wonder if the devil, or whoever that dark entity was, is going to wait another two thousand years before gifting someone else. But you don't wonder for long, especially when your wife is waiting for you.
