Liara remembers something

"That's it!" Liara said slamming her fist into her palm. She turned to Shephard, not really noticing her thin smile from.when.shr had been staring at the Asari's ass. "I know somewhere we can hide where they wont find us."

"Really?" Shephard asked, "Where?"

Liara stood silent for a second and began twiddling her thumbs. "So here's the thing. You knkw how I said I reinforced your apartment?"

"Yes," the redhead replied suddenly very suspicious.

"Well I did a little more then that. In the event the apartment came under attack and you couldn't escape I installed a hidden passage that leads to a panic room so you could hold out for reinforcements."

"A panic room?" Shephard said dumbfounded, "I have neighbors. Where did you put it?"

"It's not adjacent to the apartment. That would be sloppy. When the building was being renovated I had tunnels build between the walls. Said they were for maintenance purposes. They weave down to an architectural blind spot between two large apartments on the 10th floor where I had the room constructed. It's fully stoked with arms and provisions."

"Are their any clothes in there?"

"No but this is armor so we should be alright so long as you don't mind wearing your N7 armor over your bare skin.

Shephard stared at Liara for a second taking in all this information.

Liara frowned, "I'm sorry I should have told you I was making something like this, but I was scared you wouldn't approve and. And I couldn't stand the idea ofnyou being in so much dan-"

Liara was cut off when Shephard pressed her lips against hers. "I ever tell you that I love how articulate you are?"

Liara smiled, "Yes, but I could stand to here it more."

The pair laugh feeling a bit better about their disastrous circumstances.

"So how do we open the passage, Shephard asked looking around. "Is there a secret button or something in here.

Liara's smile vanished. "Umm well here's the thing. Because of the layout of this apartment and the neighboring ones I could only make one access point to the tunnels."

"And where is that?" Shephard said concerned.
