Liara has a request

“Shepard…” Liara said. “Please… I… I want the Shadow Broker to show this to the world. Tell them where to find me. Show the world what Liara T’soni looks like.”

“What?!” Shepard shouted as she tried to comprehend what Liara was asking her. “I can’t… t-the Shadow Broker can’t… no. I won’t do that to you! This is stupid, Liara. I can’t believe you thought this was a good idea…”

“Please!” Liara cried. “Humiliate me! Show me to the world, Shepard! Make my life a living hell!”

“I can’t do that,” Shepard said. “I… l-love you.”

Shepard cried as she saw a smile of hope form on Liara’s face. “Goddamn you! You do things to me that I don’t even understand. I can’t get you out of my head no matter what I try,” Jane cried. “I love you, Liara. That… that will never change. And I can’t just ruin your life just because you ask me to.”

“Shepard…” Liara said. “You have to let me go. Please. Forget about me. Stop doing this to yourself. I don’t deserve your love.”

“Don’t say that!” Jane shouted.

“It’s true!” Liara said. “This is what I want, Shepard. This is my only request. It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating. But I want this.”
