Liane glares at you from down the row of books. You can see that she is holding her own book in her hands. The cover of it matches the symbols of her jewelry and Shubthula's necklace. "I warned you," she said. "And you didn't listen."

You roll your eyes at the cultist. "Look, Liane, I'm not in the mood. Can we do this some other time?"

Liane steps forward. "I won't allow you to confuse my goddess any longer."

Shubthula stands between you and her follower. "Liane, your antics were funny at first, but threatening my friends is too far. As your goddess, I order to you leave. Now."

"Very well," Liane says. "Then you all can learn when happens when you get in my lady's way."

Liane opens the books and starts reading it in a language you don't understand. The lights flicker and a strange wind blows through the air. Shubthula look worried and takes step forward. "Liane, do not read that book! Give it to me right now!"

She is ignored as Liane keeps reading. Charlotte holds her wand out and starts slapping it with her hand, trying to get it to work. "Oh, dammit! Not now!"

"Can't you just take the book?" Nebula asks.

"Fool! You do not interrupt a spell! The consequences could be dire!" Alena shouts over the wind.

Liane looks up at you and extends her arm out with her palm open, shouting in the strange language. A bright light comes from her hand and you close your eyes, hoping that nothing happens. When the light dims, you blink a few times, noticing that you re unharmed.
