Liane, the cultist

Having an eldritch goddess in your school was freaky enough. While Shubthula wasn't evil, a lot of people gave her a wide berth. Her freaky powers and strange language narrowed her friend list to only a few people.

But one person, Liane, threw all caution to the wind. Liane had an undeniable obsession with Shubthula, doing things like building a shrine to her in her locker and posting pictures on social media and notice boards about, "The Call of Shubthula Club." You almost never saw her during the day classes. All you knew about her came from her posts, saying things like, "All hail the Chaos Bringer," and "She Rose from the Sea."

You're not sure what Shubthula herself thinks about this. One time, you managed to see her trying to walk out of school while Liane was clinging to her leg. The goddess was literally dragging the girl behind with every step. It was almost comical, if not for the disorientating look Shubthula shot you, almost daring you to laugh. You clamped a hand over your mouth and wisely chose to keep quiet.

Liane's outfit always consists of the same thing: a dark green hooded robe that covers her entire body except for the lower half of her face. A pendant hangs around her neck, bearing the same symbol that Shubthula often wears on her jewelry accessories. You weren't even sure if she was wearing anything underneath it. You would soon find out, but not in the way either of you suspected.
