Chapter 5 by Shadondrake Shadondrake

First thing, where does he get his foothold.

LexCorp, "Convincing" the CEO

Jackson knew he needed some control, so he decided to head to LexCorp, they were a pioneer of the tech industry, and Lex Luthor, while he was positive is a criminal, was also a genius who would (hopefully) be able to be bend around Jack's finger.

First steps were getting in the building, it was a simple matter of "I have an Idea, why don't you let me go and meet Mr. Luthor directly?" to the guards at the service entrance, they seemed to take that idea and shoot it up the command chain.

On the elevator, Jack ran through your 'ideas' that you wanted Luthor to 'steal', he actually had a few paths, depending on who Lex Luthor really was, was he just an egotist? A Supervillain? A Ruthless Businessman? A well meaning but disconnected genius?... Definitely not the last one.

Getting off the elevator, Jack started walking to the CEO's office, time to see if Luthor had planned for curses or not...

"So, my men apparently thought it was a good idea for me to meet you." Luthor said, his voice chilling and firm. Lex certainly had presence and was intimidating, Jack had to play this right, but his nerves were certainly making him waver.

"Well, I had an idea that I could help you with some upcoming projects, but you'll need to talk to me about your current goals." Jack said, hoping this would take. But Lex just brushed him off, "No, no that wouldn't do."

Jack was starting to sweat, as Lex was carefully looking over him, before he said with a smile.

"I have an idea, you can help me with some upcoming secret projects, I'll explain to you my current goals too." His sudden change caught Jack off guard, but it also meant relief, because it worked.

"Come, I'll take you to my personal lab, it's in a sub-level, my personal elevator will get us there." Lex said, turning to a small recess in the wall, which opened up to show a hidden elevator.

"Well, we don't have all day." Lex's statement made Jack jolt, before quickly walking into the elevator too.

As the elevator starts moving down, Jack began to learn about Lex Luthor, who he was and what were his goals.

Luthor was absolutely a narcissist, also grandiose and egotistical. But then again those were functionally just synonyms, or so the 'Brilliant Lex Luthor' said.

His goal, he wanted to carve his name into history, become someone so important that he couldn't be forgotten for ages, possibly even solve his own mortality and make himself ageless.

His beef against Superman? He thought Superman couldn't possibly be THAT good-natured. Superman had to be trying to weaken the planet, make earth reliant on him, and then they would accept any solution.

It was a bit crazy, but it was ALSO how Lex planned to conquer another planet if given the chance, which means it's an entirely possible plan. And he figured others on the Justice League could have been pulled under Superman's influence.

As for what Lex was working on, he had a few projects in the works, but none could let him truly reveal Superman's secret plan.

Honestly to Jackson, it sounded like complete conspiracy nonsense. But he'd need Luthor's brilliance for the times to come, plus the sizable slush fund Lex carried as well. He'd just need to tweak Lex's perspective a bit.

Or maybe he'd tweak a lot more then just Lex's perspective.

What does Jack decide to do?
