Leveling

[Monarch of **** has raised his armies in the worlds beyond. A war rages on, threatening the balance of the galaxies. The fate rests upon the shoulder of his greatest creation. His heir. The Young Monarch]

"That's nice and all, but it doesn't answer my question. What is the skill 'Shadow Creation'?" Suho asked the System.

[Information of skill has been locked by the moderator]

There's a moderator? Suho found himself pondering more and more of the System's origins and its goals. There had to be a reason he was the 'Young Monarch'.

He sighed softly and collapsed onto the soft stomach of Sumos. Surprisingly, even though the beast had been dead for a good hour or so, its body remained soft. "How do I leave this place?"

Amira, who had been gathering up weapons and materials, suddenly gasped. "Young - Young Monarch, you wish to leave without leveling up?"

Leveling? Suho immediately perked forward. "You know about this system?"

"Of course. The Monarch had it before you. It was his secret to limitless growth."

"Limitless growth?" Suho was dumbfounded.

"Yes. As you know, dungeon divers all have limits, as do monsters and beasts. For Divers, their limits depend on their ranking, E - S. My lord never had a limit as a result to gaining the system. Truly limitless power." Amira sighed, somewhat dreamily.

"And... he passed it down to me?"

Amira nodded. "So, would you like to put your limitless growth to work?"

Suho's answer would undoubtedly be yes. But for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to speak. The onlt thing he could think about was how fast all of this seemed to be. How had be been so calm and reserved all this time? He felt panic begin to settle once more.

"Will this system assist me to acquire a familiar and become a Diver?"

The corners of Amira's lips curved into a smirk. "A diver who will one day rival **** itself."

Suho also began to smile, "Then yes. Let's go level up."

Suho and Amira now stood in the middle of a war-torn village. Trees of all sizes adorned the sides, and gentle chirpring echoed around. Suho's visibility was limited by the distinct lack of light, yet he could make out the glistening red peering into him from within the forest.

Suho inched forward, each step precise and gentle as to not alarm the beasts. He gripped the small silver dagger given to him by Amira and sighed underneath his breath.

"I look forward to seeing your abilities, Young Monarch," Suddenly, a dark mist began to form, instantly surrounding Amira. A low hissing rose from the forest as the mist slowly enveloped her.

I guess she's switching her duties to spectator, Suho's mind raced. With his fingers firmly wrapped around the hilt of his dagger, and a suddenly, yet smooth, flow of energy emanating from his body, he dashed forward into the forest, leaving only a blur of blue and black streaks in his wake.

At some point, Suho effectively shut off his mind. His muscles ached and drop of blood painted his face crimson, but he did not stop. His sharp blade effortlessly drove through the tender flesh of the beasts around him. Heads dropped to the ground in seconds. Monstrous shrieks erupted across the woods as Suho slaughtered any beast he found.

Suho panted as the last of the beasts dropped to its knees with a sharp shriek. Blood trickled down it's neck, evidence of the beating it took.

"... Amazing," Amira said absently, her eyes wide with admiration. Her gaze lingered on the beasts scattered across the forest, each killed in mere moments.

Suho let out a sharp gasp, and fell to his knees. "That was... exhilarating,"

"You don't say," Amira smiled, her eyes dazzling. "Check you stats, my lord,"

Suho grinned.
