The start of Bell's Journey

It was another beautiful day in the land known as Kalos, but it wasn't an ordinary day. Because in a small quite place called Vaniville lived a young girl who had just turned 18 years old, a girl who was named...

"Bell! Wake your ass up and get out of bed!"

Groaning at the sound of her Mom's voice, Bell opens her eyes and wakes up, yelling back. "I'm up! I'm up!"

"Then get your ass out of bed! Your Breakfast is getting cold!

Her movements lazy, Bell tosses the blanket off of the bed as she stands up. Stretching she looks out the window at the rising morning sun, a smile on her face. Today was the day, the day she set out on her Pokémon Journey. Bell was so excited that she quickly shook off her grogginess and started getting ready.

Quickly getting dressed, Bell goes through her supplies to check and double check that she has everything.

Ok, so lets give Bell EVERYTHING I can think of.

Dressed and ready for the day, Bell GRABS the Pokémon Ball containing her starter and lets her starter out. "You ready to hit the road Chester?"

Bell's starter smiles up at her and jumps up and down, enthusiastically showing that YES, he was and even more excited than her to set off. Running down the stairs Bell and Chester enter the kitchen, where she sees her mom Grace standing by the table.

"Look who finally decided to get up. Much longer and I'd have to reheat the breakfast and coffee."

Bell sits down at the table and starts eating breakfast and discovers that no, it is not in fact cold. "Don't be so dramatic Mom. It almost seems like you're in a hurry to get rid of me."

Grace pouts in mock offence, "Bell, how could you say such a thing! I only want to make sure you have a good breakfast before you head off."

"Sure, and the fact that you will have the entire house to yourself has nothing to do with it." Bell's mom raises a questioning eye brow at her statement. "Now you can throw all of those crazy parties you have been dreaming of. Just make sure to take pictures."

Grace laughs at this. "Oh don't worry I will. I'll even make sure to invite all the neighbors. Oh, I wonder if your school uniforms fit? There is something I've been wanting to try." Grace laughs at her bad joke, but eventually she gets a semi-serious look on her face. "Seriously though Bell, be careful out there."

"Don't worry mom, I will." Breakfast done, Bell walks over to her mother and gives her a hug. "Thanks, for everything."

Hugging her daughter back, Grace tells her "Of course sweetie, remember I love you and you are welcome back here any time. Just try not to make me a Grandmother TOO quickly."

"MOM!" Embarrassed, Bell breaks off the hug as her face goes red with embarrassment.

"What? I got you a pack of condoms." Seeing how embarrassed her daughter is, Grace gets serious. "I know you might be uncomfortable talking about these things, but as a trainer it is a fact of life."

"I know Mom, it's just weird talking about these things with. Well, with you!"

"I know, I know. I remember having the same conversation with my mother when I was your age when I left on my Pokémon Journey, and I also remember being embarrassed." Grace pauses for a moment, the humor gone from her voice. "I also remember going home a few months later carrying you."

Well, that is awkward. Still, Bell can understand her mother's worries. "I'll be careful Mom."

"I know you will sweetie, now get out of here before I start crying."

Bell gives her mom one last quick hug. She then heads through the front door. Not wanting her mom to see the tears in her eyes she doesn't look back as she boldly marches forward and takes the first steps on her Pokémon Journey.

Now onward to Route 1!
