Let clean the mess up now.

Asked Rei and Douma almost simultaneously, which didn't help you in the slightest, as your unstable mind took the question as a follow-up of the previous question, making it work even more on the theory you had, making new questions appear within yourself, slowly making you crazy, before it all stopped, and only one clear answer, three words would finally get past the sceal of your lips.

"I... don't know..." You answered to both questions you have been asked, choosing to not speak about your theory, as it was only a theory, so crazy in fact that it had no chances to be true, right ?

When you looked over at Douma, she looked sad for you, and fumbled with her dress for a bit, before throwing herself into your arms, surprising you as she hugged you tightly, saying softly, with a point of sadness in her voice.

"I'm sorry, Adam, I shouldn't have asked you that."

It is only then that you got back to yourself, finding out that you put your arms around Douma, hugging her back. Rei smiled at the cute interaction, while you let out a deep breath, before finally replying to your angel friend.

"Don't worry, it's not your fault, I just don't know what came over me... Let's just forget about that, we shouldn't be sad. After all, there is nothing worth being sad in our lives for now, let's just enjoy it."

You then softly let go of Douma, as you smiled at her, before giving a small smile at Rei too all the while Douma let go of you, completely ending the hug. You then thought of something and, before Douma could say anything, you let out.

"And after what we've done you don't stutter anymore, strange..."

This unexpected joke made Rei laugh, and made Douma flush, as she covered her face with her hands, not saying a word, but you saw the smile she had before her face disappeared behind her hands.
