Let Reality Catch Up

Expecting a rush of new memories Josie took a seat on bench just outside of the food court. "Mmm this is pretty good." She thought as she took a drink of her smoothie. After a couple minutes of patiently sipping on her smoothie while waiting for the flood of memories Josie was beginning to grow restless. "I guess I could go find a mirror..." Her thoughts were cut off by a chill running down her spine. Then as expected a wave of new memories flooded into her brain.

Flash! A new photo of her and her two sisters appeared in her head. Josie and Chloe were about the same height now, but Chloe's petite body had a bit more womanly shape to it. "Not bad..." Flash! A new memory of Josie hanging out with her small group of friends in high school. "I'm not an outcast anymore!" Flash! A new memory of Josie attending the local college raced through her mind. "I'm doing a bachelor degree now!?!?" Then as quickly as the flood of memories began, it was over.

Josie shook her head as she gathered her thoughts. "Damn I should get going so that I don't miss class..." Josie paused as a smile came across her face. "Then again things keep changing, so why not skip class and hang out here." Josie took another sip of her smoothie. As she rested the cup on her leg she noticed that her clothes had shifted to fit her body. Her once baggy T-shirt had shrunk down to fit her slim torso, and her jeans had reshaped themselves to fit her round little butt and longer legs. "Not bad." Josie smiled and took another sip.

"Wait..." A sense of dread washed over Josie's body. "I was a guy..." Josie took a deep breath as a couple of old memories paraded through her brain. "I was a guy yesterday morning... I'm not a woman... I'm a guy... I... I... What's happening to me!!!" Her panicked thoughts caused her breathing to pick up and her face to turn red. Not wanting to cause a scene Josie struggled to gain control of her emotions. "Breath... Just breath..." She thought as she began to regain control of her emotions.

Josie took a deep breath and looked around to see if anyone had noticed her mini-panic attack.
