You decided that the importance of those files was too much to risk.

"Please, Brad. I'll pay you out of my own pocket." You begged.

"Alright alright, don't worry I'll fix it. Give me a few days and I'll return it in top condition." He said with a melodramatic sigh.

"Thanks mate, I owe you one." You said with a sigh of relief.

"I'll hold you to it..." He murmured as he left with your laptop.

You didn't get much done for the remainder of the day and so went home early. It was somewhat uneventful, and eventually you went to bed.
