Lena Try's Her Luck. [WM]

"Anyway, I better go check on that asshole and make sure he's being properly detained," Mistborn said looking in the distance through the hole she made in the window.

"Wait!" Lena exclaimed stopping Mistborn in her tracks. "I... uh..."

"Look kid, I..."

"I'm 20!"

"As I said, look, kid, I know you probably think I'm all that and more but I'm not what everyone exaggerates me to be."

Mistborn turned to leave again but Lena stopped her yet again. "Please! I... I just wanted to ask if you would train me."

Mistborn turned and looked at Lena. "Train you? Why would I do that, why would you want that?"

"Well, I don't actually know my abilities yet"

"You're 20 and don't know your abilities yet?! Damn kid, late bloomer I guess."

There was a brief moment as Mistborn looked back out the window and seemed to ponder the question. "Sorry kid, I gotta go," Mistborn finally responded before jumping out the window, crushing the floor beneath her, and sending a concussive wave throughout the room as she jumped.

Damnit. Lena shot her shot and in turn, got shot down. At least she can tell herself she tried and didn't relent easily. She stared out the window for a few more moments considering the situation before returning to her table and finishing her coffee/donut which surprisingly was exactly where she left them. Wasn't gonna let them go to waste after all.

After a short while the cafe asked her to leave so they could start on cleanup, the hero association was gonna pay for repairs and they wanted to get started right away. Lena quickly took the small trip home and on the way decided not to be butthurt about it, after all, she did get to meet her idol even if only briefly.

Now home Lena looked at the posters on her wall considering Mistborn. First impressions weren't as good as she hoped but like she said earlier; it made Mistborn seem more human and Lena actually liked that. She glanced at the trading card she had of Mistborn on top of her "shrine".
