Wich path?
Left to the path you skipped.
You decide to go down to the path you would have taken towards the left. The one before you came to the map. It is a little while before you find the stairs that go down to the level the other route would have taken you however as you step into the hallway the wall behind you closes. There is no other way than towards the right.. which isn't something that the map had indicated as far as you remember..
Regardless you press on, you won't make progress without pushing forth.
You come to a split, towards the right is a door.
Glancing to the left you see the hall continue..
