Many stewardesses were waiting for her.
"Come on!" someone yelled.
Katie panicked. She got up and ran to the exit, leaving her purse and skirt behind. The stewardesses did not seem to notice she was only wearing a diaper. When Katie jumped on the slide she saw an extremely empty runway. This was not her airport!
People were running away from the plane and gathering about 100 meters away from it. When Katie got down and looked back at the plane, she finally understood why.
The back of the plane was smoking a lot. There must have been a fire in the luggage compartment for quite a while.
In her diaper and shirt she started running away from the plane towards the other people that had been with her in the plane. She was ashamed of her diaper, but safety was first now. What if the plane exploded?
Katie arrived in the group of people, but people didn't seem to bother with her too much. They were all paying attention to the smoking plane in the distance.
While Katie had been running the fire department had already arrived. Two trucks were spraying water all over the plane.
"Alright everybody!" yelled a man in official clothing. He must have been the pilot.
"As you can see there was a fire in the luggage, but everybody has left the plane. You are all out of danger."
A couple of people sighed from relieve, but this was already quite obvious to Katie.
"We are on an old airport 40 kilometers from the original destination. The airline is sending buses to collect everyone and bring you to the original destination."
Shit, Katie thought. Now here she was in her diaper and she wasn't even close to the original destination. Did she have to get to her new home in a diaper now?
