What does the Dragon Demon King Do Next?
Learn About the Situation...and a Surprise?
Draco Conquistador spent his time recomposing himself, his aids turning into sexy figures that make all the top models he was aware of look like amateur beauty pageant entries wasn't helping much. Before he knew it, Cruze had returned and gave him the bow of respect that was customary for dragons within the game's setting. She then presented him with a scroll, without lifting her head or arms, using her impressively prehensile tail (a feature of dragons Draco had stumbled upon in is study of dragon tail types) to present him with the scroll she had filled out during her mission.
Draco shifted to chosen humanoid draconic form, a towering eight-foot tall man with a toned and muscular physique, but was still quite naked and his groin was on full display (he would have to rectify that in the foreseeable future), and took the scroll from her and opened it to see what it said. The scroll had the equivalent of 3 point font in order to cover the dense collection of data Cruze had put together, but he could make everything out as if it were several times that size thanks to his incredible dragon eyesight. Looking over the information he paused about a third of the way down the scroll, "So, there seems to be a dwarf community of seemingly little significance nearby, see about replicating all the pertinent data and get it to Xiomara, I want to hear her suggestions on how to approach this potential opportunity. Also, once we've managed to take control of the immediate area, I would like for you to have Imposter Dragons taking the place of that same community to keep an eye on things and get a read on their supply schedules, we can figure out what resources they have immediate access to with a bit more scouting. See to it that your four best Chameleon Scouts thoroughly investigate the community before our ****, I want to know as much about the history of that community itself as every single creature living there, leave no stone unturned in this endeavor. Chances are, what we learn with this first encounter will decide the fate and direction of the phase of our expansion plans."
"Of course, my lord," responds Cruze, "how should the initial scouts go in?"
"Two posing as figures visiting the community and two camouflaged to observe when most think they aren't looking, it will also give us a read on which members of the community might present the most immediate threat to our operations before the campaign has begun. Prioritize those with seemingly greater perceptive skills than others, in that regard, and see what you can do about acquiring samples of those that are most perceptive or naturally combat ready, this especially includes the crafters, I intend to use those samples for the ritual that will create new units with those same aspects so we can have even more highly capable dragons."
"At your command, my master," said Cruze before slipping out of the chamber silently. Draco hadn't been lying, it's just that the ritual required both his Military tree and Dragon's Presence tree to be at certain levels; thanks to one of the cards he had gotten before all this, his Military tree was at an appropriate level to unlock the ritual, but his Dragon's Presence tree still needed some work. He also needed his Academic advisor to be at a certain point in her development, which the card that upgraded all the advisors took care of already.
That reminded him, he hadn't checked on his ability to advance his trees yet. The moment he thought about advancing his Build trees the menu for which tree to select appeared before him. He chuckled to himself and chose the Dragon's Presence tree before taking not of the advancement points he had, the top right confirmed there was just barely enough to build out his chosen tree for this endeavor to the point he required for the ritual, so he began building his advancement in the tree in that direction. Once he was done and hit the confirm changes, the screen disappeared and he suddenly felt the effects of the changes he implemented in a tree specifically tied to his character. This was going to be fun.

Changing Dominion
The Strategist Isekai
Realms of Dominion, commonly referred to RoD (or “Rod”), is an online base building game of conquering others, not unlike games the original Warcraft games and the Civilization series, but it also has some RPG elements, making it an MMO as well. In the world their ten continents, some bigger than others, and about half a dozen archipelagos and island chains, some of which are their own territories while others are part of existing territories, with numerous factions. In the game, players take control of one of 21 different factions as a “Demon King/Queen” and set out to conquer the hundred or so other factions, including those of other players. The hundreds of Nonplayer factions are ruled over by pregenerated rulers of their perspective nations, the most popular play type of this is the setting called “Conquering Queens” where all the NPC factions are ruled over by Queens and Empresses (almost all of whom seem to have very attractive character models). Due to its popularity, this is the default setting for the Mature player base. The game is actually rated for Teens and older, but everyone under 18 is stuck playing what many refer to as the censored version, while the 18 and older crowd are playing the “complete experience” version where you can put the NPCs (and sometimes yourself) into naughty and sexual positions, and you’re practically spoiled for choice when that happens. Each player faction is tied to a different type of monsters or threat that heroes would take on in a more typical fantasy setting. Among the many factions, the deceptively simple looking “Bug” faction (which includes arachnids and other creepy crawlies along with more true insects) and Dragon faction are considered the most powerful due to how they perform in both the latter half of the early game and late game, seemingly regardless of how you choose to advance their development. But the “Beast” faction (which includes anthropomorphic animals, which can sometime include dinosaurs in that grouping, along with a number of prehistoric and mythological beasts and creatures from across the globe) is considered the weakest due to it being perceived as not really coming online until the latter half of the mid-game. Players have 3 main ways they can advance. There’s the Demon Lord Skill/Ability tree (which has most of its advancements locked behind the development of the other trees before they can be accessed), Town/City tree (what is used to advance most of the cultural development of a player’s territory), and the Military tree (which is where all the military advancements are kept, but some are locked out until you reach certain development points/milestones with the other trees). You can play as the individual Demon Lord going about conquering the surrounding area as part of their mission of conquest, which does help unlock a number of components in the Demon Lord tree, in their mission of conquest. And by doing so, you are able to gain access to more materials faster, and even acquire artifacts that could be outside of what could normally be available to you without conquering the appropriate territories or forces. But you still need to devote time to more than the power fantasy of being a wandering Demon Lord if you want to do well at the game.
