Layover in Tokyo

Eleven hours and change of flying later, the plane touched down in Tokyo.

"Phew." Rabiah whispered, taking a deep breath as she stepped out into the airport's terminal. Pulling her phone out, she got dialing.

One ring. Okay. This is normal. Most modern phones didn't connect

Two rings. There was a time

Three rings. Aicha had to pick up, right?

"Hello?" Aicha announced, relief washing over Rabiah at the moment. After being stuck on the plane with nothing to do other than to memorize her Quran and pray silently. Sure, the planes were quite pretty and had lots of amenities. But none of that interested her.

"Hi. I just landed in Tokyo." Rabiah explained, smile on her face as she brushed up against a lolita-clad girl. Not her intention, though I don't think the girl noticed either. Mostly because she had seemed intent on heading elsewhere.

Though, there seemed to be a lot of girls in lolita dresses. Lot of them holding hands, with the american Muslim woman catching a glimpse of at least one couple

"Wonderful. I trust you're doing alright after the flight?"

Rabiah looked away. Though she took a deep breath right after.

"I mostly read my Quran." Rabiah explained, getting a chuckle from her girlfriend. "Hey. It's still as good as the first time around."

"Whatever works for you, dear." Aicha answered. "It's late on my end, so best of luck!"

Rabiah smiled.

"Thank you." she answered and hung up.

A short walk to her gate followed. There, she took a seat and relaxed. While only a couple hours, any rest was better than none right now.
