Journey through the woods
Lavorra ponders and frets
Lavorra cannot shake a sense of unease, as the two of them pick their way through the woods, leaving the campsite further and further behind them.
Lorkan’s village is near the Delwald. Right next to it, in fact. It seems that all paths are leading there. What’s more, whatever the “very wrong” events that Melira referred to in her letter are, they must surely be connected to the Daemonic raiders. She shudders to think that Mel has fallen into the clutches of the beasts - what must they be doing to her…
She cannot help but feel sorry for Lorkan too; she was moved almost to tears as he told her how he tried so hard to defeat the attacking cultists and their Daemon masters, and to rescue the women of the village.
But even that gives her a degree of discomfort, with how much it clashes with his behaviour in the time she’s known him. Whether he took advantage of her or she let him do so, he made it clear he planned to have her regardless of her opinion on the matter.
She is so conflicted, and so consumed by her thoughts, that she barely notices that they have begun to head East rather than North, nor that the forest floor has become a tangle of thick roots and vines.
