Lauren's big mouth

Lauren knew she'd gone too far. She'd revealed far, far too much to Kyle. She slapped her hands over her damn, big mouth, her eyes widening. She looked around. Had anyone heard? No one seemed to have noticed, but how could be sure?! It was bad enough Kyle knew!

She looked to Kyle. The boy was staring, stunned into silence by her startling confessions. Instantly Lauren began scrambling.

"You can't tell anyone what I just said!"

"O... of course," Kyle said, slowly regaining his composure. "That would break doctor/patient confidentiality."

In fact, Kyle was under no obligation to keep anything private, because he wasn't actual her therapist, just her fellow student in a psychology class. For Lauren though, who was desperate for reassurance, she took him entirely at his word.

"Th... that's good..." Lauren stammers, still totally mortified.

"But, this dream of yours is good indication of a deep seeded neurosis." Kyle said, closing his notebook. "Thank you for being so forthcoming. I look forward to hearing your next dream, and learning more about your subconscious..."

Kyle began packing up his bag as the bell rang for the end of class. Lauren felt mortified this strange boy now knew her secrets. Even worse, he expected to learn even more about her? She prayed she wouldn't have another damn dream...
