Chapter 4
by Hobofrommars8
What did is sound like
Laughter
It was a truly wretched sound an omen of disaster it was a sound of dread in its purest form of hearing your parents fight of a car creach before a crash if you were to hear it if would twist your stomach and make your hair stand on end, of course leon knew how his laugh was and so it was only here at the top of this limstone tower where he would do such things where he was sure it wouldnt be herd by anyone
Thats why it was particularly shocking when his laughter was interupted by a knock on his door there were not many who were allowed to knock on his door unpromted his leutinent and second in command alice kusiragi, the other general the vulture and in theory a few of the enemy commanders although they would know better than too for the sake of easing tensions
Of coarse there was another possibility that even though he was widly liked and seen as the most amiable and friendly general he was still a commander and if his new position as anointed by the letter was leaked assasins couldnt be discounted as a possibility. With his hand on the hilt of his sword a ornate rapier with a silver inlay in the shape of roses down the sheet he cautiously approched the door and spoke with a tone flat not with the command he would use to order troops nor the smoothness he would use in negotiations or even the tiredness that is in his true tone but i a voice that conveyed no emotions
"Anounce yourself!"

Of crows, blades , and crowns
The ashen dove
Oh ye of ashen hair and silver armor, oh ye brother to the king by law and by creed, ye war hero and duke of the east, oh ye whose blade sings of dead men and justice how did thy live so grand and die in such glory? How did thee pin your name to the walls of history never to be forgotten in the halls of heros? Tell to us thy tale.
