Laughingstock

Your mother comes into the room to check if you're awake. When she takes a look at you, she is at a loss for words. She walks back out of the room, and comes in a few minutes later. "Jessica seems not to be too worried about your... new habit, so I'm not going to tell you to give her back her clothes. I just wish I could have seen this coming sooner. Let me just warn you, change now or you're going to school like that."

There wasn't a thing you could do at this point. At breakfast, the twins snickered between themselves as they saw you dressed like a girl. You could see your mother trying to avert her eyes, but having a hard time not taking a good stare at you. On the school bus, no one knew what to say at first, but when they finally did, they were merciless. A few of your teachers sent you to the office for disrupting class, but the administration sent you back to class in fear of being sued for discrimination. Not even your friends could look at you the same way. You know that even if you were to have the curse lifted now, there was no way anyone would let this event go.

Several months pass. You've been abandoned by most of your friends, but have found a few girls who like consult you for fashion advice. Unfortunately, the girls simply see you as a new girl-friend, and don't hold interest in dating you. Jessica has made it clear to you in the past that she won't lift the curse from your body, so you begin to get use to the fact that you're going to go through this for a long time.

One day, Jessica walks into your room, uninvited as usual. Ironically, you both are wearing matching outfits. You turn to her, and ask "What do you want this time?"

"That's no way to greet me, especially when I have such big news."

"You're going to lift the curse finally?"

"No, but hear me out. My powers are evolving, and I feel the need to progress my life faster than human society will allow. This will probably be the last time we see each other, so I decided to offer you a going away present."

Jessica pauses for a moment, just to make sure she still has your attention, which she does. "The curse on your head is meant to humble you, and I think it is doing just that. The thing is, it may have done too good of a job, and ruined your social life. To make up for this, I was thinking of giving you a new body and a new life to live in. This way, you won't be such a social wreck anymore. I leave it to you to decide, but you can't ask any questions about it."

With your life in shambles, it is tempting to take her proposition. However, you know the amulet she carries is evil, so she might be trying to give you one last good prank for the road. But she might be genuinely sorry....
