Chapter 50 by Suvinceus Suvinceus

At the Trainyard...

Last Dance for the Moonrunners

"There it is; the Trainyard." Lisa said.

The Warriors, the Crescent Moons and the Gamers had arrived at Pelham, and would make their way into the Trainyard. Slattery and his gang were ready to teach the Moonrunners a lesson once and for all, and to ensure that Lunar's claims were false from the start.

"You know, Lisa, I remembered laying some marks on the trains before the meeting with the Riffs." Rembrandt told her.

"Yeah...but I'm still concerned about where those damn Moonrunners are." she replied.

As the three gangs investigated further, they stopped straight in their tracks when Lunar's voice called out to them, "Well, what do we have here? Those flashy purple duds that stole our name in the first place."

The dark-haired Moonrunner happened to be standing on a roof of one of the numerous trains, and standing next to him was their leader, Bullet. Jake could only crack his knuckles before the leader spoke.

"We went through all the damn trouble claiming that you stole our name without our permission, and you still believe it's all lies. Well, guess what, chumps? It's about time we erase your asses off the map." he said.

"So are these the Moonrunners? Those guys that were spreading some fake shit about you and your pals?" Ajax asked.

"Exactly." Jake replied.

"You better be warned, though: they use spray cans for weapons, and aren't afraid to spray in your face." Amy added.

"Psst, you and the others need to stand back; this is a very personal battle for us Crescent Moons, though not as much as the ones we'll have with the Warlords and Crooks." Slattery told Swan.

"Don't worry, if you're in trouble, we'll be here to help." the Warriors's leader replied.

"Thanks." the Crescent Moons's leader said with a small smile.

Six Moonrunners then entered the Trainyard, and despite the numbers, Jake, Hoagie, Berlin, Highscore and Pacman had to make the most of the fight. The brunette Crescent Moon was the first to make the first move, grabbing the first of the Moonrunners and shoving a knee into his face.

She then kicked him in the groin, and clocked him with a knockout punch. However, she was taken by surprise by the second Moonrunner, who gave her a few punches to the face, and left a rather noticeable bruise under her left eye.

Hoagie managed to help her out by attacking the second Moonrunner, starting with a few kicks to the torso, before he headbutted him. The Moonrunner attempted to fight back by spraying some spray paint in his face, but the bleached blond Crescent Moon grabbed it from him, and sprayed him in the face.

Pacman and Highscore were up against the third and fourth of the Moonrunners, with the taller Gamer punching him a few times before snapping his neck. The shorter Gamer, on the other hand, had dodged his opponent's attacks, before giving him an armbar and slamming his knee in his back, then throwing him aside.

With two Moonrunners remaining, Jake decided to go after one, while Angela dealt with the other. The taller Crescent Moon went after his opponent, slamming the back of his head onto the side of a train, before punching him in the stomach, and then in the face.

As for the blonde Crescent Moon, she was able to perform lightning fast kicks on the last Moonrunner, before taking his spray can, and hitting him on the head with it. As he hit the ground, she kicked at him, and this left only Lunar and Bullet.

Lisa was quick on her feet as she began to climb onto the roof of the nearby trains. When she finally reached both Moonrunners, she got into her stance, ready to fight.

She attacked Lunar by giving him a series of punches to the face and torso, and was about to put him in a chokehold when he cleverly sprayed her in the face. She winced, trying to get the spray paint out her eyes, when she got punched in the chest.

"Shit, I gotta get to Lisa!" Rembrandt exclaimed.

And with that, he left the rest of the Warriors and Gamers, so that he could get on the roofs of the trains. Once he got to Lisa, Bullet and Lunar, he gave Lunar a knee to the jaw, before punching him in the face a few times, and kicking him in the knees, sending him to the ground.

Bullet grimaced, and went straight after Rembrandt, and just when he was about to attack the writer, Lisa surprised him by grabbing the Moonrunner, and sending him off the roof of the train. Leaving Lunar as the sole remaining Moonrunner, the Crescent Moon wiped her face with the Warrior's vest, before she began to speak.

"Listen to me, and listen to me good: my parents formed the Crescent Moons five years ago. Why? Because they wanted to make a name for themselves in Sea Gate, and as the years past up until now, they had become quite a well-known gang, and were always the talk of the town. What year did you guys form the Moonrunners?" she said.

"1977." Lunar said almost hesitantly.

"Good, so stop spreading lies around town!" Lisa said.

She then kicked Lunar off the train, causing him to hit the ground along with Bullet. Thanks to the efforts of the Crescent Moons, the Moonrunners were thoroughly humiliated.

"Now it's time to find those Rogue fucks and their friends from South Beach and Old Town; they've got Mercy, and it's about time we get back at them." Swan told the three gangs.

And so, the Warriors, the Gamers and the Crescent Moons exited Pelham, heading straight for Hells Kitchen.

An hour passes...
