Kyle picks out a "superpower"
“You lack natural super powers. It is unfortunate. I will provide you with enchantments."
Wraith Warrior led Kyle into one of the side chambers- the weapons armory. However, it wasn’t at all what he expected. Instead of guns, grenades, and rocket launchers- he found swords, staffs, medieval-looking armor, and a variety of other enchanted items.
“Be warned, even enchanted items require practice. Now, you will be as strong as, perhaps, a superhero’s sidekick, but to face a hero, you need to work on your abilities."
“I understand,” Kyle nodded his head, trying to suppress his excitement, “So do I get to pick or-”
“Yes. Emotional attachment has a multiplying effect on magical potency. Choose wisely.”
Kyle was drawn to several items in particular. Wraith Warrior decided to explain their effects to help him narrow it down.
The options:
An enchanted rope. Imbued with powerful magic, this item is capable of stopping superpowered beings in their tracks. The tighter a person is bound by the rope, the stronger its effect. Additionally, the rope can be used like a whip to strike at long distances.
A set of glowing arrows. Each arrow is labeled with a different emotion. Successfully hitting your opponent with one causes them to feel said emotion. Depending on where the arrow strikes, the intensity and duration of the effect is different.
A shimmering black cloak. Covering your head with the cloak will turn the user invisible. While invisible, they are still vulnerable to attacks but are fully undetectable, with rare exceptions for superheroes with specialized powers.
Which item does he pick?
