Which 'Chronicle' should we dive into?

Kris in 'Moomoo Farm Remembers'

(Disclaimer: Same warnings apply in these 'Chronicles' stories as in the rest of Pokéslut; **** stuff and other darker content will often be featured. Depending on who writes these stories and what they and myself feel like writing, there will obviously be more wholesome content as well. This one, uh... isn't very wholesome.)

Your name is Kris, an 18-year-old Pokémon Trainer on a journey in your home region of Johto. Well, technically your name is Crystal, but Kris is what everyone calls you, and you much prefer it. Sharing a name with a colour or a gemstone; how lame would that be?

You're currently traversing the rocky terrain of Route 42, on your way to Mahogany Town, where you hope to get your seventh gym badge. Oh, yeah, you forgot to mention; you're not just a Pokémon Trainer, you're a really good Pokémon Trainer. You've a lost a couple battles and taken a couple forfeits, sure, but you don't think there's a female trainer alive who hasn't; you don't believe the rumours about Paldean Champion Nemona still being a virgin due to never having lost, not for one second. But by and large your journey has been success after success, and it's given you a confidence you never had before leaving New Bark Town. It's for this reason that you're walking with a confident swagger along the rugged path. Many female trainers try to hide from challenges as much as possible, but you have nothing to fear; you're ready for anything.

Well, almost anything. Even an experienced and skilled trainer like yourself is shocked when a young man in casual clothing appears in front of you, seemingly from out of thin air. He's a few inches taller than you, with short black hair and a strange intensity in his blue eyes that you find unsettling, especially as he seems to be staring right at you. He's kind of hot, you think, before returning your focus to what's important: there's a Natu on his shoulder, a pokémon that can learn the move Teleport. That explains how he appeared in front of you so suddenly.

"Damn, good job, buddy," he says to the bird pokémon, petting it affectionately. "We knew she'd be around this area, but landing right in front of her? Great work!"

A chill goes down your spine. He was looking for me? "U-um... who are you?" you ask, uncharacteristically nervous all of a sudden.

"You are Kris of New Bark Town, correct?" the man asks.

"Uh... yes?" That's not creepy at all...

"My name is Nelson," he says. "I saw your battle against Jasmine on TV earlier today and found myself... captivated by you. I knew I just had to challenge you to a battle, as soon as possible; I figured you'd be heading to Mahogany Town for your next badge, so I had my Natu here attempt to intercept you. Looks like it worked." He gives you a smile, but the oddly fierce look in his eyes doesn't change.

I guess that story checks out... you consider. It wasn't the first time some weird 'fan' had approached you after one of your televised gym battles, and him developing an attraction following the Jasmine battle made sense; you'd got a lot more into the steel gym leader's forfeit than you'd meant to, and shown a lot more of your body to the cameras than intended as a result. But, hold on...

"How are you just using Teleport to stalk people?" you ask, narrowing your eyes suspiciously. "There are Pokémon League regulations on that move, you know?"

Nelson chuckles. "Oh, I'm not worried about the League. I have my connections. And besides, a battle with you is worth it. Now, enough talk." He takes a pokéball from his belt and gestures at you dramatically. "I challenge you."

You study his clothing curiously. No gym badges? Not even one, with all those so-called connections? You smirk at him slightly, finding your confidence again after being thrown off by his sudden appearance and his creepy stalker vibes. "You sure you wanna do this? You've seen how good I am; you know you'll have to give me prize money when I win, right?"

His face turns serious. "We'll see about that. Ursaring, go!"

"D-dammit...!" You clench your fists in frustration as you recall Meganium, your final pokémon, to its ball. You'd lost, to a guy with no badges. He'd had a ridiculously high-levelled team; they were all normal types, but despite you having both a fighting-type Heracross and a ghost-type Misdreavus on your team, you'd only been able to knock a few of his pokémon out before he'd wiped your entire team. "Ugh," you mutter, humiliated at your defeat, before scowling at Nelson. "What, did you just train a really strong team without bothering to challenge gyms? Is beating hot girls from TV your only reason for being a trainer? You're pathetic."

"Not pathetic enough to lose to you," he says matter-of-factly, withdrawing his own pokémon. "And, no, I didn't 'train a strong team' without battling gym leaders. As a matter of fact, the only pokémon I trained was this Natu here."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" you snap, before deciding you don't actually care about the answer; you just want to get as far away from this guy as quickly as possible. "Ugh, whatever, what do you want me to do?" you ask, irritably. "You want a blowjob, or do I have to make the effort of taking my clothes off?" You give him a cruel smirk. "Or did you like the strap-on stuff I did with Jasmine so much that you want me to peg you?"

Nelson returns your smirk. "Actually... you won't be doing much of anything. Natu!" He gives his pokémon a signal, and its eyes glint with a purple aura; you feel a bizarre sensation spread through your body, and you realise you're completely unable to move your limbs, Natu holding them in place with its psychic powers.

"Hey!" you cry out, suddenly a lot more freaked out. "You can't use pokémon against humans like that! The Pokémon League-"

"I already told you not to worry about the damn Pokémon League!" Nelson snaps, anger in his voice for the first time. He takes a deep breath, composing himself before continuing. "I said I had connections that would smooth things over with them, didn't I?" He pauses, before giving you a crooked smile. "Whitney sends her regards. Where else do you think I got such strong normal-type pokémon, hmm?"

"W-Whitney?!" You remember the bratty Goldenrod gym leader all too well; she had been so devastated by her loss to you that she'd actively refused to hand over her gym badge for some time, acting like a spoiled child. You'd probably been a little harsh to her during the forfeit as a result, but even so... would she really conspire with this man, lend him her strongest pokémon, use her position as a gym leader to cover up the illegal use of pokémon abilities so that he could... could do what? "W-what are you gonna do?!" you ask, panic quickly filling your frozen body. "W-why are you doing this?! Just because you saw me on TV one time?!"

Nelson chuckles coldly. "Ah, I'm afraid that was a lie," he says. "I'm not some obsessed fan; quite the opposite, in fact. I've actually never seen you before. My parents have, though. They were very kind to you. Does the Moomoo Farm ring any bells?"

Oh God...

You do remember. You hadn't until this point, but now you do. You'd come across the Moomoo Farm on your way early on in your journey, run by a kindly older couple who had allowed you to stay the night and provide you shelter from the elements and male trainers. All they'd asked in return is that you help out their sick Miltank, by bringing some healing berries to them within the following few days. You'd set out with every intention of completing that task, but had found yourself involved with Team Rocket, gym battles, and an errand to the offshore Cianwood City, and the berries had completely slipped your mind, along with the Moomoo Farm itself. Now you know why Nelson is here, why he has it out for you in particular, and why he would have Whitney's support. The Moomoo Farm was a favourite location of the gym leader, for obvious reasons; that Miltank she'd used in your battle had been a nightmare to deal with.

"No... the Miltank at the farm... it isn't...?!" You don't think you can bear the thought of having let a pokémon die due to your negligence; you'd stop being a trainer right then if that was the case.

"Oh, no, it's alive," says Nelson. "It's feeling much better now."

"Thank goodness..." you breathe a sigh of relief.

"But it will never produce milk again," he continues, his tone darkening. "My parents business died. They and my little sisters almost lost their home. I had to leave my job at the Goldenrod Radio Tower to come home and support them. I was going to be a star, and now that dream is dead, and it's all because of you!" His eyes are deranged at this point, and you desperately want to run away as fast as you can, but Natu is still suspending your arms and legs in place.

"I-I'm sorry!" you cry out, desperately. "I-I'll pay you! Your family will get every penny I make as a trainer, I swear-!"

"I don't want your money," Nelson scowls. "But you will be paying. Just... in a different way. Natu, Teleport!"

And the world goes dark.

Where do you wake up?
