Korriban (Tier 3, Main story)

The council has asked for your presence, they said it was urgent. As you head to the council's chamber you pass Barriss's room. The door is closed but you hear her crying. You knock on the door to see if she's alright.

Barriss (angrily): Go away! I don't want to talk to anybody!

Lana: Barriss... I maybe I could help you...! We are friends, we could talk about it, whatever it is!

{if Luminara = false}

Barriss (crying and angry): What could we possibly talk about?! You let my master die! You could have saved her, but you refused!

Lana: Barriss, look, it was one of the hardest choices of my life! I had to save more innocents than could be counted by sacrificing her! This was her wish!

Barriss (opening the window): I don't care for your excuses! You have taken her from me and I will never forgive you! Nor you, nor the Jedi altogether!

Lana: Barriss, what are you up to? Barriss...? Barriss!

She doesn't answer, so you **** push the door to break, to get inside. You spot her standing at the window, ready to jump and end her life.

Barriss (in hysteria): Stay away!

Lana: Barriss, don't do this!

Barriss: You have taken everything from me! Luminara was my family! And now she's gone!

Lana: Look, we can solve this! Just get away from the window!

Barriss: Solve this...? Solve this?! How in the blazes do you plan to SOLVE my master's ****?!

Lana: We... We'll find something out! Talk to the masters, they are wiser than I, they would know what to say to calm you!

Barriss (turning from you down to the many hundreds of levels she would be falling down into had she jumped): You don't understand! None of you understand! This, life, we live in the temple! And worst of it all is that even the masters are doing things, they preach not to! My master, Master Secura, Master Mundi, all are involved in activities the Jedi code prohibits! Lana: Barriss, calm down, please...! I'm so sorry for what happened to you! You must believe me when I say, Master Luminara wanted it that way...! Her sacrifice saved so many, most Jedi could only strive to do such a great deed as she did! We must mourn her, certainly, but she wouldn't want you to kill yourself just because she was **** to make an impossible decision!

Barriss (calming down): Maybe... But I have had enough Jedi wisdom for one life... I'm done with this... All of this... I want no more...

Lana: Barriss, don't...!

Barriss (calming down): Maybe... But I have had enough Jedi wisdom for one life... I'm done with this... All of this... I want no more...

Lana: Barriss, don't...!

Barriss (closing her eyes): Goodbye Lana...

She jumps out, you rush to the window and hold her by the ****.

Barriss (in hysteria): What the...?! Let me go...! I don't want to live like this anymore!

Lana: I won't let you die like this, you idiot!

Barriss: Why can't you just let me die already?!

She **** pushes you to disrupt your focus, but you fend it off. It just fuels her frustration and she unintentionally **** chokes you in her anger. This however is enough to stop your focus and stop holding her. As you drop her, the **** stops.

Lana (trying to catch her again, but in vain): Barriss! Barriss...!

You watch her fall down next to the temple wall. You can't bear to stand and watch the end of it and rather rush back into the temple and call the Jedi healers and any master you can muster along the way to go and try to help her. Provided, it's still possible. They all speed down the levels in hopes of finding her with life signs, but none seemed to have any hope for that, given the distance she did while falling. You can't help, but feel guilty for what has happened... Maybe you could have prevented it somehow... Maybe if you tried to use **** earlier or used different words to convince her, this isn't the right way... But it's too late now. Master Windu personally comes to remind you, the council is waiting for you. You tell him what happened to Barriss, but he's as cold as usual.

Windu: Hmm, what happened to Padawan Offee is unfortunate. She had shown signs of a weakening spirit lately. The healers will see to her should there be anything that can be done. As for you, there's an urgent matter to address.

He takes you to the council chambers, where Drek and Ranvi are already waiting for you, along all the council members. All are rarely present, even as holograms, but now, the council is complete, indicating no good.

Yoda: Dark times these are, indeed... Padawan Offee's decision is concerning... But this is not the case the council wanted to talk to you about.

Obi-Wan: Lately, multiple masters have sensed a disturbance in the ****. Some even had visions.

Ki-Adi-Mundi: These visions all formed around the same place, with the same subject.

Plo: We have seen the ancient birthplace of the Sith, Korriban. The planet is especially strong with the dark side and this darkness has been disturbed recently.

Aayla: We have felt the long dead Sith lords disturbed. Their dark power still echoes through the ****.

Windu: We suspect somebody is tempering with their abandoned ruins. I would go as far as to claim, somebody is attempting to resurrect one, or some of them.

Yoda: To Korriban, you must go, investigate these dark energies, you will.

Ranvi: Masters, with all due respect, we are only Jedi knights, a master would seem more fit for such a task!

Windu (after looking at Obi-Wan and Yoda): The council itself is somewhat divided on this matter, but we agreed to send you three there. Your connection to the dark side might be to your advantage more than any light side teaching could be. Just remember, not to let the darkness consume you.

Obi-Wan: Remember, that planet is dangerous and corrupting, even for a master of the order. You could best withstand that corruption for a short time but do watch out for each other. If any of you are being corrupted, behave oddly, or anything similar, the mission is canceled and you must return to the temple, immediately.

Drek: We will not fail you, masters!

Aayla: May the **** be with you!

Lana (quietly): We will need it, I suppose...

Valare (excited, on the way to your ship): Yeay, Korriban, my favourite place of all! I knew I would return there! I'm only late, by hmm... around 3500 years? You can't be late twice, that's what I always say, five minutes or 3500 years, no big difference, am I right?

Lana (thinking): Since you are so familiar with the planet, you could be our guide!

Valare: Look Jedi, I like you, but I'm no **** of yours, I'm just an observer mostly and I'm interested how you will be doing at my home!

Lana (thinking): Always ready to help, why didn't I expect anything else...?
