Knock on the door

You knock on the door, and await an answer. It takes a minute but soon enough the door opens. You expect the worst, hand behind your back hovering over the pistol in your pocket. Your fingers twitch in anticipation of the foul beast, and you ready yourself for what could become a dangerous confrontation.

"Who dares enter my domain?" the beast growls with its terrible voice... except it's a very delicate voice, it's not growling and what was actually said was: "Who are you?", and it was asked by a fairly attractive but also fairly frail-looking woman looking over you in shock that someone has made it through the spooky forest and knocked on the door to the creepy castle. By anticipating the worst, you've construed your own little fantasy as reality for a second there. You did not expect this. The woman is adorned with a fairly simple white and blue dress, and she has her caramel brown hair tied into a ponytail with a ribbon. There is no doubt that this is the kidnapped woman. However, what sort of kidnapper has the door unlocked and lets their victim answer the door? You may have misjudged the simplicity of the situation of this world.
