King Pierre's Proposal

As you prepare to depart back to Itheria, you are approached by tall thin man in his late thirties. You recognise him as the man who greeted you as you arrived at the Ducal Palace, Chancellor Gregoire Bistodeau.

"The king wishes to speak with you. The matter ie urgent" he says.

You follow Bistodeau, dreading that the king has found out you **** his daughter. You enter the room to find King Pierre waiting for you.

"King Richard, I know what you did to my daughter" he says.

"I have no idea what..." you say before he interrupts you.

"It's alright. I have a proposal for you" Pierre says. "You see Madeleine is simply unsuitable to sit on the throne. But all my other heirs are dead and I am too ill to conceive another. But a thought occurred to me. Nobody needs to know if Camille's child is mine"

"What are you getting at?" you ask.

"You will provide an heir with Camille"

You have to make sure you understand what Pierre is proposing. "Are you suggesting I make a cuckold of you by impregnating your wife?"

"I would not put it so bluntly but yes. Nobody is to know you are the child's father. He will be raised as though he were a legitimate prince of Sinnabarrow. You have defiled my daughter. Consider it compensation"
