Kim has the perfect thing for Lucy's breakfast...

They walked a few more paces in silence, Lucy constantly aware of how shamefully exposed she felt. The second she got back to the dorm she planned to pull on the thickest pair of pyjama bottoms that she had and bury herself in her sheets.

“I’m sorry I didn’t wake you… and I’m sorry I gave your clothes to Scott,” Kim said, in what sounded to Lucy like sincerity. The bottomless girl felt a pang of guilt rise up inside her at Kim’s apology; she couldn’t blame Kim for everything that was going wrong. Max locking her in the collar definitely wasn’t her fault…

The brunette sighed and nodded, “It's fine…”

“Are you hungry?” Kim offered, clearly as a kind of peace offering and Lucy blinked in surprise. It wasn’t until her friend had asked the question that she realised she was starving. In her rush out the door that morning Lucy had barely had a chance to get dressed, she’d had to skip out on a shower… breakfast hadn’t even occurred to her.

All of the adrenaline had kept her going since, but now that Kim mentioned it, Lucy’s stomach growled.

“Uh… yeah actually…” she admitted, glancing over her shoulder again to see Kim rummaging around in her bag.

“I have the perfect thing. Maddie gave me these…uh… breakfast biscuits… They’re a bit dry but they’re super good for you. Do you want to try one?” Kim smiled.

Lucy glanced down at her hands, still fighting with her own sweater and blushed. “I uh… maybe back at the dorm…”

“It’s okay, I can feed them to you now,” Kim smiled excitedly, pulling out a handful of what looked at a glance like little rectangular cookies. With Kim walking behind her Lucy didn’t get a good enough look at them to recognise the actual bone-shape of the treats.

“What flavour are they?”

“Honestly, they’re pretty bland… here just try one…”

Before Lucy could protest she felt Kim step closer to her and slip one of the biscuits between her parted lips. It was a little large, and Lucy had to maneuver it with her tongue inside her mouth before she bit down, the surprisingly dry little shape cracking and crumbling between her teeth. She tried to concentrate on the flavour but it was like there wasn’t really one; it was kind of like eating a cookie when you had a blocked nose, all of the texture but none of the flavour.

“Maddie said they’re really high in protein and fibre and stuff, and there’s no fat or sugar or salt in them at all.”

Lucy glanced at Kim as she chewed; shrugging her shoulders… it really wasn't great but it wasn’t bad either and she guessed the lack of flavour was probably a consequence of whatever it was that made these things ‘healthy’.

“What do you think?” Kim asked eagerly, her eyes wide with excitement as she watched the brunette swallow the dog-biscuit, completely oblivious.

“It’s kind of dry but… I guess it wasn’t awful…?” Lucy said, using her tongue to try and get at the last little pieces of the hard biscuit that had ended up behind her teeth. She wasn't sure she'd choose to eat whatever these biscuits were normally, but she was too hungry right then to argue.

“Have another one!” Kim squealed as she quickly brought another one up to Lucy’s mouth, feeding the bottomless girl with a wider grin.

Lucy chewed and swallowed each of the biscuits Kim fed to her on their way back to the dorm; her mind occupied more with her state of undress than with questions about the food Kim was easing between her lips. She was hungry, and even if the little biscuits weren’t that flavourful, they were food and it was satisfying her stomach…
