Chapter 16 by Control Freak Control Freak

What do they find back at the dorm?

Before we find out, let's check back in with Lucy's family

While Lucy was having her walk of shame, the Carpenter household was getting ready for their 200 mile trip to Lucy's university. Abigail had finished moving her things to her new room that morning, but Tom and Nancy still hadn't decided what exactly they should do with the room that their younger daughter had vacated yet. It was something they could work out when they got back, and for now their thoughts were more concerned with what they should take, and whether they will be bringing Lucy home with them or not. They didn't know for sure, but Tom was planning to stop at Pet-Zone and buy a leash and travel crate on the way home from work, just in case.

At the moment though, Nancy was taking a break from packing to have an early lunch. She was nearly finished with her ham sandwich when she heard her daughter shout down the stairs, "Hey Mom, come up here a second! You've got to see this!"

Nancy set the remains of her sandwich down and brushed the crumbs from her hands, then made her way upstairs. By **** of habit, she almost walked into Abigail's old room, but managed to stop herself just in time and change course to the other bedroom, where she found Abigail sitting at her computer desk. She was still amazed the three of them had managed to move all of Abigail's furniture the night before, and even more so that the girl had managed to put away her clothes and set up her computer so quickly by herself. She assumed it had something to do with a combination of excitement from finally have a bigger room and the energy of youth. Now, other than it being bigger than before, Nancy could hardly tell that this was the room that used to belong to Lucy.

Abigail turned in her chair as her mom entered and motioned to the computer monitor with a grin on her face, "Check out the new pictures that just got uploaded to Lucy's site! They're amazing!"

What Abigail referred to as 'Lucy's site' was lucycarpenter.gov, the website that the government had set up the day before, once it became clear to everyone exactly how important it was to properly rehabilitate Lucy. The site was hidden from every major search engine in order to prevent the pet-girl from accidentally stumbling onto it by searching her own name, but emails linking to it had gone out to the rest of the Carpenter family, Lucy's friends and professors, and anyone else who either had regular contact with Lucy or would be able to make major contributions to the effort. The site was a place for people to discuss and coordinate plans to train Lucy, host a forum where people can talk about her situation without fear of discovery, and post pictures and status updates about her progress.

The last section was the part of the site that Abigail was on now. Curious as to what her daughter wanted her to see, Nancy walked over to the computer and looked over the teen's shoulder at the computer screen. On it, a student had posted a picture of Lucy taken from their cell phone. It was from behind, and at a distance, but Nancy could still make out her eldest daughter squatting bottomless in front of a tree.

"What is she doing?" Nancy asked.

"Look a bit closer and you should be able to see," Abigail responded, a devious grin on her face.

Nancy squinted her eyes and leaned it a bit. When she finally saw the stream of liquid trickling from the girl's crotch to the grass beneath her, she laughed aloud. Not due to the picture itself of course, but because she felt like an idiot for not getting it sooner.

"Oh my God you're right, that's amazing!" the older woman said, "I can't believe they're already housebreaking her."

"I know, it's so surreal to see her doing it out in the open," Abigail said with a laugh of her own, "But hey, at least it saves us the trouble of doing it, right?"

"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, dear," her mother chided, "It takes longer than a day to properly potty train an animal, especially once they've develop bad habits, so if Lucy comes home with us we're still going to need to keep an extra close eye on her to make sure she doesn't try to use the toilet again."

"Yeah, you're right, she probably would try that," Abigail admitted with a resigned frown, "It'd be weird to have to share the bathroom with her now. I wish we would have gone with my litter box idea instead."

"Honey, you know that would make poor Lucy even more uncomfortable," Nancy said, "It'd be much more obvious what we were trying to do, and be harder for her to accept the change in her lifestyle. Besides, do you really want to have to empty it every day?"

"Oh yuck, I hadn't thought about that," Abigail said with a shudder, "Nevermind."

Pushing the thought aside, the girl's face lit up in happiness again as she turned back to the computer, "Oh, but that's not the only new picture! Here's the other one I wanted you to see!"

The second picture was also taken from a phone, but in much better quality than the first. It showed Lucy walking across the campus, tugging down the hem of the green turtleneck sweater she was wearing. Despite that, it was clear that Lucy was still not wearing anything below the waist. Her roommate Kim was behind her, reaching around the blushing girl to hand-feed some kind of snack to her while they walked.

"Awww, that's adorable!" Nancy squealed.

"I know, right?" Abigail said, "And look, Kim's even leading her with dog treats!"

"Are those what they are?" Nancy said, taking a closer look at the bag the blonde girl in the photo was holding, "I can't tell."

"Yeah, see?" the teen said excitedly, gesturing to the back, "They're even the ones shaped like dog bones! The girl who posted it says that Kim was feeding a bunch of them to her one by one as they walked."

"Oh, that's just perfect!" Nancy said with a smile, "Usually I'd be against spoiling a pet with so many of them at once, but it looks so cute seeing them like this, and it'll help Lucy get used to the taste. I just wish they got her out of that sweater first. The poor thing looks ridiculous in it."

"I know," Abigail agreed disdainfully, "Plus, I want to see the collar Max got her again."

"Well that's easy enough," Nancy teased, putting her hand on Abigail's mouse and spinning the scroll wheel, "Just scroll up to the picture from last night."

The new pictures disappeared from view, and the screen was now occupied with the post the family had looked at together during breakfast that morning. Lucy's 'boyfriend' Max had posted a picture of her sleeping peacefully in bed on her chest, her body framed in moonlight and butt naked save for the thick pink collar around her neck. He had left a comment under it stating, 'Check out Lucy in the new collar I got her! Just don't ask what I had to do to get this shot for you all lol'.

"Awwwww!" mother and daughter cooed together.

"She looks so cute like that!" Abigail gushed, "In fact, I think I want to make this my desktop background. That way I can look at it whenever I want!"

"That's a great idea, sweetie!" her mother said encouragingly, "I can't wait to see her like that in person! Oh, and meet this Max fellow of course."

"Same here," Abigail said as she started to download the picture, "I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a total creep or anything."

Is there more behind-the-scenes action to be seen, or do we return to Lucy's point of view?
