Chapter 15

Is there? Anything, or anyone?
Kendra's orders
"I want to see you" Liandra has a slight naughty smile as she says it, the idea striking her as a lighting bolt.
"Me? We are talking right now, princess" The confused shadow mage say. "Unless ... oh, naughty naughty, someone wants to misbehave some more. Are you inviting me over?" She began to step away from her own vanity, but Liandra interrupted her. "No... I want to see a scene in the past. I want to see the time when you were assigned your mission" it was hard to keep her excitement to herself, despite how horny she was she still managed to keep her mind straight.
Kendra's frustration was visible, even through the black and white shadowy mirage. "And how would you know that I am showing you the truth, princess? for all you know i can show you phantasms and lies."
Liandra shrugged "Perhaps. But you can also show me the truth. And if I believe you, I can convince Dagor to help you. Your seduction did nothing to help your cause, Baroness"
"We could have been fabulous together" Was the last thing Kendra said, before the image flickered and changed.
It showed a library. Rows of books and floating crystals, and small winged creatures tending to the books. And a handsome young man dressed in tight letters dominated the view. Liandra couldn't see the color of his hair or eyes, or his attire, were there even colors in Nocternia? The country was rumored to be eternally in the dark.
"Our spies confirm the move in Prince Mortimer's kingdom, Emperor Kendal. He is preparing for war." It was Kendra's voice, Liandra hadn't notice how authoritative it could sound.
"He isn't strong enough to attack us, but he spreads lies about us, and it wont take much for his army to be a real threat"
"All he needs is Luxius." A different woman said. "You all know that, why don't you say it aloud? The princess is the heir to the throne, and he would become the next king. With their armies and their magical power, they would be a real threat"
"I wont go to War. With either of them." Kendal's words were final.
So the other woman suggested. "You don't need to go to War, you just need to break their alliance."
"We aren't in a position to do that. Not without ****" Kendra replied.
There was a hiss between the women, but Kendra continued "But my Emperor, it isn't too late. Maybe we can negotiate. Maybe we can seduce ..."
"Stop, Baroness."
Kendal turned to the other woman and said "Your past with them makes you too unreliable for this, lillith. I will ask you to stay out of it. Kendra, I have come to rely on you a lot. There are real needs where we can help the Luxian Kingdom. You are to go there and reckon what can be done. Act if you see the opportunity, but don't make enemies out of them."
"You could marry this princess yourself, Kendal. She is rumored to be beautiful and charming" Kendra offered, but the Emperor scowled "What are you now, my aunt? You are the one I wanted to marry, Kendra, and you rejected me. All these women just don't compare."
The image faded to black, leaving Liandra alone in her room.
Will Liandra say anything to Dagor?
