Keep them taking until Cielina or Devona can ambush the Dark Elves on the cliffs.

Diplomacy and haggling with others has worked for you before, most notably when you were aiding Phebis a couple of cycles ago. If nothing else, the least you can do, is buy the ambush teams that Devona or Cielina are leading enough time to strike before the Dark Elves know what's happening. You watch as the succubus run the tip of a claw ever so lightly across Arin's neck, as her black tongue slithers out, and licks behind the High Elf's ear.

"Why do this?" You ask the matriarch of the band of Dark Elves. "Why ally with the Demons of the Netherrealms? They're playing you for fools. Once you get what you want, they will take it all away from you."

"As long as we give them what they want, human," the spokesperson for the matriarch replies, "our Dark Elven city will be immune to their wrath. We give Llothera the blood and body, and the demons can have her soul."

You watch as the man turns to look at the relatively small, but agile succubus. The succubus' yellow eyes widen, as she faces him, keeping a tight grip on Arin.

"Isn't that right, Zrixsya?" The man asks the succubus.

"Of course, Dark Elf." The succubus replies. "The archdemon will be pleased."

"The demons have not forgotten what you did in Phebis, human." The Dark Elf tells you. "It was supposed to have been their grand scheme to take over this part of the surface. In the end, it will not matter. Any children you manage to breed will see us and the demons rise, and there will be nothing they can do about it."

"Why not be a good human, and let us leave with this delicious soul." Zrixsya tells you. "We get to do what we want, you and your kingdom can have your peace."

"Please, Bryce," Arin tells you pleadingly, "please don't let them--"

"Silence, girl!" Zrixsya interrupts, covering Arin's mouth.

"You could've just left already," you tell them, "but you're still here. You Dark Elves should remember that your kind are not the only ones that can move silently under cover of darkness."

"No human can accomplish that, without any kind of aid!" The spokesperson tells you, bursting out in laughter, along with the matriarch. "We have already scouted your feeble group of soldiers. They will prove no match for us in battle!"

As you keep talking with the matriarch and the succubus, the ambush group quietly get into position. The combination of the High and Wood Elves' ability to sneak silently, the terrain expertise of the local women, and the strength and flexibility of the Amazons, allow them to replace the Dark Elves on the cliffs. Most of them get into position, but some of the more inexperienced soldiers make too much noises, when taking out the Dark Elven soldiers.

"Something's nearby, matriarch!" Zrixsya tells the Dark Elf.

"What trick is this, human?!" The spokesperson asks you.

"The exact reason you and your allies should have left my lands by now." You tell them. "While we kept talking, my people have replaced your kind on the cliffs above."

"You...you fools!" Zrixsya tells you. "Twice you have managed to foil our primary objectives. Next time, you will not be so lucky!"

What you don't know, however, is that while most of the Dark Elves on the cliffs have been taken out, a few of them remain, held by Devona and Cielina, along with a few other Amazons and Frost Knights. They have one hand across the Dark Elves' lips, and the other over their hands, guiding their aim with the hand crossbows. On the other hand, the few disguised High Elves behind you do notice what is going on, and do their best to relay it to you.
