You’re not about to let this chance to see a softer side of Angel slip by. Besides, a little playful **** for her earlier comment wouldn’t hurt.

"So, did you leave a boyfriend behind when you moved here?" you ask, your voice laced with playful curiosity. "Or did your charming personality scare them all away?"

Angel rolls her eyes, taking a moment to think of a comeback.

"Why? Are you planning to make a move on me?" she retorts, a teasing edge in her voice. "Pervert."

You can’t let her have the upper hand. If you do, she’ll keep this attitude up until graduation. You didn’t get a second chance at life just to be outdone by the new girl.

"And what if I am, Angel?" you lean in closer, lowering your voice to a whisper that brushes against her ear. You notice the subtle shiver that runs through her body, but she doesn’t back down.

"Then I’d enjoy the satisfaction of rejecting you, obviously," she shoots back, though her voice wavers slightly. You catch the faintest hint of a blush creeping up her neck as she shifts in her seat, her thighs pressing together.

"Too bad you won’t get that satisfaction," you whisper, brushing your lips lightly against her earlobe before pulling away. "I’m only interested in Kaguya."

That’s not entirely true. Angel’s sharp tongue and cool exterior have intrigued you ever since you saw her ride past on her bike. Despite her prickly personality, there’s something undeniably attractive about her. If you had the chance to get closer, you’d consider it a win.

"What a pity," she pouts, moving slightly further away from you. "It would’ve been fun to see you disappointed when I turned you down."

Her eyes lock onto yours, her gaze icy and determined. "Just like I did with every other boy at my old school."

You take the hint, though you can’t help but wonder if your teasing had any effect on her. Standing up, you wave your completed assignment in front of her.

"Anyway, I’m done with the problems," you say casually, placing your work on Angel’s desk. "Thanks for letting me use your book. Mind turning both our papers in when you’re finished?"

Before she can protest—which you’re sure she would—you head for the door. You glance back, nodding at your teacher with a smile. He’s used to you finishing early and leaving. As you step out, you take one last look at both Angel and Kaguya. Even if your life depended on it, you’re not sure you could choose between them.

Your thoughts are interrupted as Angel stands up abruptly, tossing the papers on the teacher’s desk before storming over to you. "Hey, aren’t you supposed to be showing me around the school?"

She’s right in your face now, arms crossed, pouting. "What kind of useless tour guide are you, anyway?"

But then her voice softens, and she glances away, almost embarrassed. "Though… I could still use your help finding my next class," she murmurs, just loud enough for you to hear.

"Alright, looks like I'm still your trusty tour guide," you say with a playful smirk, doing your best to hide the amusement in your voice. "What's next on your schedule?"
