Chapter 23 by VerticalZulu56 VerticalZulu56

Should she keep going and get out of there as fast as she can? Or should She wait to catch her breath

Keep going

If she wasn't being chased, Anna probably would have rested. But she didn't plan on waiting around to explain what happened to multiple students. Anna kept on running through the forest hearing the voices of her pursuers less and less, until she couldn't hear them anymore. That didn't stop her from running. She finally could see the road through the trees but now what. Her hands were still tied. Anna tried it slip out but that was no use. She managed to snap the rope on a branch but stumbled out of the forest doing so. She even fell down a small but steep hill. Anna stood up looking around to find that she was in the middle of the road and the couldn't get back to the forest because of the hill, but at least her hands were free. Anna quickly ran across the road to the houses and hid in a bush. She weighed her options. Either she could run home on the Sidewalk, it would be the fastest but also would expose her the most with little to no cover along the way. Or she could try to go through people's backyards, it would take longer but and be more risky if she was caught but it would have more cover and most people would be working at this time.

Does Anna risk the path or try to sneak in the backyards?
