Chapter 6 by TheArchitect TheArchitect

Maybe there are more effective ways of causing destruction.

Keep crushing stuff with the clock.

Inga kept throwing the heavy thing against the tiles until none were intact in her corner, and until none of the plastic shell of the clock remained, with indestructible, undamageable black surface serving as her weapon, in sync with the black nothing she wanted to stay.

They were friends now!

The shattering sound was ringing in her ears. Her daunting mission... It did not feel fulfilling to think about it, so she must have forgot what she was trying to achieve. There was just an all-devouring misappreciation of the world built and crafted around her and, somehow, the damage she was dealing was not therapeutic, but instead was making her angrier and more determined.

Inga made several heavy throws against one of the nearby closets; its presumably wooden doors would swing around just fine, but refused to take damage. Unacceptable. Nothing stays intact.

Pulling the doors off the hinges was not working either. The contents of the tall closet consisted mostly of metal restraints distributed densely along the walls and the floor of the furniture piece. They were not easily breakable. Feeling an insane smile creeping up her cheeks from finding a worthy opponent, Inga brainstormed the matter.

Finally, she thought of opening the doors to the maximum, where they would bump against the walls of the closet, and then try to break them off like that with a single power throw. The wall, the door or the hinges — something had to be the weak point, or else her destruction tantrum could start losing momentum.

Just do it! The clock hit the door at the very edge, with maximum efficiency, before bouncing some 10 feet away to the side. The hinges audibly winced in pain, and then the door shut itself back in place very loudly. Inga rushed to see if they were at least somewhat bust, but the door would not open anymore. The other one, too, actually.

The insides of the closet then started to whir with a scary sound. Tens of metal objects inside could be heard banging against each other as some tectonic change was being made to the closet's interior.

Uh oh.
