Keep chatting

After a few minutes of chatting between Ethan and Ashley, Charlie returns. She looks slightly agitated, but not so much so that Ethan would describe her as 'mad.' Walking up to Ethan, she gives him a pat on the shoulder. "Can I borrow you?"

Ethan starts to say something but catches himself, surprised she's asking and not just dragging him off. Before he can respond, Charlie tacks on a very out-of-character word.

"Please?"

Suddenly, Ethan feels stuck. "Uh, yeah?"

"Great," Charlie pats Ethan on the shoulder, then turns to Ashley. "I'll be back soon."

Ashley shrugs, seemingly not to upset about her sister ditching her. "Okay. I'll be here," she motions towards the crates, "With all this."

Charlie frowns, then turns back to Ethan. "Alright, follow me..."

Turning on her heel, Charlie starts off the way she came from. Ethan follows, catching up in no time, although he finds Charlie's pace hard to keep up with despite her shorter legs.

After a few blocks, Ethan hazards asking a question burning at the back of his brain. "So, what's this about?"

Charlie's frown seems to deepen. "We've got to fill a hole."

Ethan blinks. "What?"
