What would Melissa do ?

Keep Hiding

Relief flooded Melissa as she witnessed their encounter. Yet, a perverse fascination tugged at her. Ignoring the cold fear prickling her skin, she found herself drawn after them, a **** ghost trailing the group. The absurdity of it hit her – moments ago, paralyzed by the fear of discovery, now propelled by a morbid curiosity she couldn't explain. Was it the thrill of the unknown, the allure of danger, or something darker lurking within her?"

"I thought they were gone! Why are they still hanging around?", Scarlet whispered to Susan.

"Wish I knew, what should we do now ?", Susan whispered.

"Let's hold tight and see what they're up to," Scarlet whispered, her voice barely a hiss. "But if things go south, we're bolting. No questions asked."

"Run? Maybe, Scarlet," Susan whispered, a humorless chuckle escaping her lips. "Well maybe you're the only one who has to run. You sure you've got the lead in this race?"

"Look at them, Teresa," Bradd murmured, his voice tight. "Can you believe they're still smiling? It's...unnerving."

"Wow, you too? Is wearing nothing the new school uniform?" Teresa said, raising an eyebrow.

"Is there a new 'forget-your-clothes' day I missed. Why don't you try it, Teresa.?" Bradd asked, feigning confusion.

"Are you kidding? I'm not really comfortable with that kind of clothing in school. It's not really my style.", Teresa was angry.

"She must be comfortable like that, that's her preference.", Susan laughed sarcastically.

"Are you joking now, Teresa ? They are cursing us.", Scarlet said.

Melissa remained a silent observer, determined not to intervene. This made things trickier, but leaving wasn't an option either - the classrooms were all full. The irony was suffocating; stuck, unable to act, yet her presence made no difference.

"We were just...looking around before we bumped into you. Seems like fate has other plans, doesn't it? Now, how about some fun?" Teresa's laugh sent shivers down Bradd's spine. "And Bradd, please keep that naked girl."

Scarlet bolted for the stairs, but Bradd was quicker. His grip clamped on her hand, the other arm snaking around her back. A jolt of fear shot through Susan as she witnessed the scene. Without hesitation, she sprinted downstairs.

"I'll try to find someone, but stay alert. Things might get messy.", Susan said.

"Looks like your friend has some speed," Teresa chuckled, a cold glint in her eye. "Take her upstairs, Bradd. We wouldn't want anything...unpleasant to happen down here.

"Get your hands off me! I won't go with you!", Scarlet was angry.

A deep breath steadied Melissa's racing heart. Leaving Scarlet behind wasn't an option. As the final echo of footsteps faded, Melissa's gaze narrowed.

"This seems intriguing."

Confused, Melissa squinted at the sight. A prickle of unease crawled up her spine. Wait...who are you ?

Who is this again?
