Kayla (One Last Fling)

"Hey Will, you mind if I come over?" Kayla's request was odd for the middle of the week, but you were always down to hang out with your friends.

"Sure, want me to ask if anyone else is available?" You asked.

"No, I was hoping we could talk." Kayla always seemed to like employing that phrase to make people more nervous than they should be.

"Uh, alright. Well have you had dinner yet?"

"I can pick something up on the way there."

"Don't worry about it. I have pizza just about to come out of the oven." You figured that being a good host and providing food would make whatever conversation you were about to have at least a little less awkward.

You heard Kayla's car pull into the driveway just as you were pulling the pizza out of the oven. You went to open the door when you saw her walking up to it.
