Kate Bishop (Crystal Dynamics' Marvel's Avengers Universe)

The daughter of Derek and Eleanor Bishop, Kate Bishop grew up during the Avengers time of operations and dreamt of joining the team from her childhood, although she briefly dreamt of being an astronaut for at least one week. After an unspecified violent incident, she decided to make the dreams a reality to cope with the Post-Traumatic Stress and began training in archery, fencing, gymnastics and martial arts. To perfect her skills, Kate joined her school's archery club, the "Sisters of Artemis", where she quickly developed her skills. At some point, something unclear happened to her parents, presumably resulting in her losing her family’s fortune. She also lived in New York for a time, where she made quite a few friends, some of whom Thor also met at a later time, in which event said friends would mention stories of the trouble caused by Kate, much to her annoyance, to the point of wanting to know who was responsible for ratting her out, even though Thor is keeping her friends’ identities secret, due to a promise he made.

Kate first met Clint Barton / Hawkeye when he served as a judge of her annual competition. Impressing him with her skills, she was taken on as his protégé and possible successor, sharing the Hawkeye identity together. Kate also became associated with the other Avengers, notably Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow and, briefly, Captain Marvel. Prior to A-Day, she served several probationary runs on the team and was preparing to join the team officially. One day, Clint had attempted to teach Kate how to fly the Quinjet, only to find that Thor was asleep in the back of the jet itself, as Kate forgot to close the bay door, which Captain America observed. Kate presumably ended up endangering Thor, since the bay door was not closed. Kate evidently did not notice this, other than thinking that Thor could have easily survived due to his flight capabilities. As a result of this debacle, Natasha revoked both Clint and Kate’s flying privileges. She had also faced some ridicule from the public due to her gender, with some even referring to her as “The Girl Hawkeye”, much to Kate’s destructive anger.
