Kasumi

Kasumi had of course planted bugs and cameras inside Shepard’s apartment. But her eyes widened what she saw on this day. This content would be gold… but… at the same time… if Shepard tied it back to her, she would probably kill her.

Kasumi debated about whether this was something she should risk so she decided to ask Liara.

Kasumi snuck into Liara’s headquarters and saw Liara working on some important shadow broker stuff, so she silently waited. “You can come out now,” Liara said.

Kasumi blushed and removed her shadow cloak. “How did you know?”

“I have eyes everywhere,” Liara said.

“Including inside Shepard’s apartment?” Kasumi asked gesturing to the monitors which showed Miranda and Shepard together.

Liara smiled and said. “What are you up to?”

Kasumi wrapped her arms around the asari. “What do you think?”

Liara and Kasumi had gotten a bit close with each other after everything settled down. Kasumi had helped Liara recover Shepard’s body, and Kasumi had moved on from her own feelings for Keiji.

“I think that you’re looking for a **** sentence,” Liara whispered. “If Shepard found out…”

“Shepard won’t find out. Because it’s going to get tied to one of your sources,” Kasumi said. “You have to realize this is what the galaxy wants to see. Do you know how many people ship Miranda and Shepard together?”

“And what about Jack?” Liara asked.

“What about Jack?” Kasumi asked. “Miranda already told Jack she wants to be exclusive with Shepard now. She just hasn’t quite broken the news to Shepard. Says she wants it to be special. Besides, Jack is busy with uh…”

“Samantha,” Liara said. “I’ve seen the footage.”

“Yeah,” Kasumi said. “So you get it.”

“I get it, but I don’t want to get murdered before the wedding,” Liara said.

Kasumi rolled her eyes. “Come on, Shadow Broker. You know you want to.”

Liara sighed. She gulped. “Fine. But if Shepard comes to me, I’m blaming you.”

“Just blame Diana,” Kasumi said with a chuckle. “She could use an ass beating anyways for that hit piece on Jacob.”

Liara rolled her eyes. “I still don’t get what you see in him.”

Kasumi smiled. “Well… he doesn’t come close to you.”

Kasumi kissed Liara’s cheek as Liara distributed the footage broadcasting it. And then they both watched the live feed as Shepard and Miranda continued.
