Karin Chakwas

Jane stared astonished as she saw the doctor of the Normandy in the hot tub with her mom. “M-mom! Oh my God! Why are you in the hot tub?!” Jane shouted shielding her eyes trying to erase the image of Karin Chakwas literally banging her mom.

Hannah coughed and squirmed realizing her mistake. “I-I didn’t realize Anderson left you this apartment…. We uh…. He uh gave me access to it awhile back…. As a favor… I guess you never removed my access and well… I thought you were in your home on Earth!”

Jane seemed more horrified the more she listened. She had one glance at Karin who was like a second mom to her. Perhaps now a bit too literally for her comfort. “Mom, I didn’t know that you… uh…”

“You never asked,” Hannah said. “And believe me your father knew about-.”

“Okay!” Miranda shouted eager to get Shepard’s mom out of the apartment and burning red from embarrassment. “How about we have this heartfelt conversation another time? Perhaps when we’re dressed and civil.”

Hannah gave a sheepish looked and nodded. Miranda also realized this was the first time she was actually meeting Hannah in person other than when she worked with her remotely on the Lazarus Project 2.0. That made it even more awkward as Hannah quickly got dressed and guided Chakwas out the door who remained wordless not meeting Jane’s eyes.

As Hannah and Karin left, Jane guided Miranda up the stairs all sex drive dead at the sight of seeing her own mom naked. Instead, Jane opted to collapse in her bed attempting to suffocate herself with the pillow only to be stopped by Miranda who took Jane into her arms. “Shepard… Jane… are you… okay?” Miranda whispered, genuinely concerned.
