A/N: In this branch, Markus sacrificed himself during the rebellion

“Oh,” Kara said. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you were in here.”

“That’s okay,” North said. “I always appreciate seeing you, Kara. I really appreciate you staying here. I know you wanted Alice to… well, I know she meant a lot to you.”

“She deserved a proper home,” Kara said. “One that I couldn’t provide her, but I’m happy that Rose is treating her well. And I still get to mother her.”

“Kara, come here,” North said as she sat up in the bathtub.

Kara blushed but felt herself obeying as she stepped toward the glass that did nothing to hide North. “Do you need something?” Kara asked.

“As a matter of fact, I do,” North said. “I need you to massage my shoulders.”

Kara raised an eyebrow. “Oh, okay.”

Kara pulled the door open and slipped inside the walk in shower with the tub perched slightly up. Her hands rested on North’s shoulders and began to massage them. North leaned her head back and sighed. “Wow,” she said. “That feels really good.”

“Do you want me to stop?” Kara asked.

“Definitely not,” North said.

Kara blushed as she continued massaging North’s shoulders.
