Kanami's mansion

“I won the lottery!”, Kanami announced, beaming with excitement!

“Really?” Suffice to say Poron was skeptical. “Weren't you looking for a job?”

The ninja bounced up and down. “I was, but then I came across this old guy offering me a free turn on his lottery thingy. I tried it and won the first prize!”

The young prince had to admit that he was somewhat curious now. “What did you win?”

Kanami grinned widely. “Get this!”, and thrust a piece of paper into Poron's face.

For a moment Poron was stunned into silence. “Kanami that's..that's”, he finally managed to stutter.

“Yeeeees?” Kanami grinned ear to ear.

“That's awesome! I can't believe you won a mansion like this!” Poron started to jump up and down from excitement as well.

“Ehehehe, pretty amazing right? Winning lotteries just comes with being a ninja!”

Obviously, there was only one thing to do. The two quickly headed in the direction of their new estate.

Pitten took of his disguise consisting of a fake beard and fake sunglasses and flashed a devious smile. “The dastardly deed is done, my partner in crime.”

Darkwing Duck popped out of the trashcan he used as a hiding spot. “I see.” This mission has started to grow rather tedious. By some miracle Clumsy Sparrow and the Crown Prince managed to escape both the Kalar forest and their surveillance network. It took almost a month before Darkwing finally picked up their trail again and tracked them all the way back to the Free Cities.

But that did nothing to sour Prince Pittens mood. “Now we merely need to ambush my brother in this abandoned location! Delightfully devilish, if I do say so myself!”

To be honest, Darkwing found that rather excessive. In the two days since they located their targets he had exactly 13 opportunities to take out that weakling of a Crown Prince. (And 48 for Clumsy Sparrow.) Regrettably however his client insisted on this plan of his. And Darkwing Duck prided himself upon his excellent customer service.

“Yes, quite”, Darkwing replied dryly as he consulted a map. “And that location you lured them towards...”

“Indeed”, Pitten smiled. “Quite the appropriate name wouldn't you say?”

“So this is **** Mansion.”, Poron stated, holding his lantern up towards the old and most likely derelict building.

Kanami's free mansion was situated in the outskirts of Rasheul and so it was already past sunset once Kanami and Poron arrived at their property. The area looked fairly abandoned save for a large amount of crows.

“Yes, I think we got the right one.”, Kanami checked her map one more time to make sure they where actually in the right place this time. “The old man told me it's named after all the Crows here. A group of Crows is called a ****. Pretty cool, huh?”

That was pretty cool but Poron had more interest in the mansion itself. Three stories plus attic as far as he could tell. It looked ancient but oddly enough all windows seemed intact. It also looked quite haunted, but surely Kanami would be able to deal with a couple of ghosts.

Just at that moment a flash of lightning illuminated the darkness followed by the rumbling sound of thunder. Droplets of rain started to fall almost immediately. That was as good a motivator as any and so the pair opened the old, creaky gate that marked the beginning of the property and rushed the pathway up to the mansion.

Fortunately the mansion's large wooden entrance door was not locked and so the two where able to gain entrance with little trouble.

The would be house owners entered what looked like quite the luxurious foyer. Despite the outward appearance, the inside seemed to be in remarkably good shape. There where even candles burning for atmosphere.

Kanami was also very pleased to note that the door was automatic and shut itself. Nice!

Poron appeared positively entranced as well, commenting on all kinds of furniture and paintings. You would think a prince was more accustomed to something like that. But then again, Parancho was a very poor country.

While Poron seemed to be content to studying the intricate carved wooden figures on the bottom of the stair railings for the next five hours or so, Kanami had more exciting things in mind.
