Just remove this programming

Ren placed his hand on Sadayo's shoulder.

"Okay... since this is what got us into this mess... first, put on your clothes." he sighed.

She immediately stood up, mindlessly putting her clothes back on

"Fascinating. I was under the impression hypnosis couldn't make someone do something they normally wouldn't" Akechi commented.

"It can't" Ren confirmed "However, there's some... exceptions to that. It would take some work, results are varied, and it's highly dependent on the hypnotist and the subject, but technically someone can be convinced to follow commands they normally wouldn't. For example, if you say something like 'you believe I'm not here' to someone in their own home, generally they'll accept that because it's not entirely strange to accept. But, if you were to then tell them to strip naked, they might because their mind already thinks they're alone in their own home." he explained. Or rather, he explained how hypnosis SHOULD work.

See, what he hadn't told anyone was that, thanks to their many expeditions into the cognitive world, he at least theorized that he was able to control the cognition of his subjects a bit more thoroughly. Buuut he didn't need to tell them that.

"Which means..." Makoto began. Akechi immediately put his hand over his face.

"Which means that this imbecile would actually have no issue strutting around in her underwear should the situation allow it." he sighed "And with that wonderful deduction, I will remove myself from your presence. I have no interest in dealing with this idiocy any further"

He turned on his heel and began to march off, stopping in the doorway.

"That said, remember Amamiya, you owe me a favor"

Ren sighed. While Akechi was his friend... sometimes he was a lot to deal with. And owing him a favor gave Ren no small amount of concern.

Regardless, he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Ms. Kawakami, when I remove my hand from your shoulder, you will find that you are no longer expected to follow commands when a hand is placed there. It will no longer have any hypnotic effect on you. You will also wake from this trance with no memory of anything strange happening after 10 seconds. If anyone asks where you were for homeroom, you will state that you were helping Ryuji with an emergency"

"An emergency?" Ryuji asked.

"Uh... yeah. An emergency. His... cat got hurt."

"I don't have a--" Ryuji began to argue, before Makoto gave him a light slap to the back of the head.

As Ren released his grip, all of the thieves except Ryuji fled from the classroom.

Crisis averted... but Ren did make a mental note to ask an entranced Sadayo about what else she was going to do later on.
