Just passing through

"I'm just passing through and need a place to stay for the night. I won't cause any trouble and will be gone by the morning," you say.

"What do you think this is, a resort? No filthy humans allowed!" the elf shouts angrily.

You are taken aback by her venomous attitude, but try to remain calm. Even though part of you wants to grab her, rip her clothes off and teach her a lesson. After denying yourself Anja and the long journey here, you find yourself fantasizing about the elf's slender body and how it would feel beneath yours. But that would get you nowhere.

You shake your head to clear it of such useless thoughts. "Whoa," you say as you raise your empty hands in the air and approach cautiously. "Please, I'm on an important mission, and I'm not asking for much."

The elf takes a step back and reaches for her bow. Was that a hint of fear you saw in her eyes?

"One more step and I'll put an arrow through your ugly face!" she shouts angrily. Elves are renowned for their skill with the bow, and she could probably make good on her threat. However, she seems young with little actual combat training, and blinded by an unnatural hatred for humans, even for an elf.

You quickly scan the surroundings behind her and see no other guards nearby.

"Well, what are you waiting for? You're not welcome here! Run back home where you belong!"
