Chapter 16
by Manbear
Does the elaborate plan work or does something fuck it up?
Just one small problem
"Well," you push your chair back and lean back with folded arms. "I have to say, that that is one of the most well thought out and creative plans I've seen executed in more than four years." Sandra's smile lights up the whole room and you feel your impartiality start to melt away. In an effort to keep it together you pick up your dice again and roll them in your hands.
"OK, Rae is in the front hold of the slaver-ship with close to twenty other young women in scanty clothing." You pause from dramatic effect, "But, the deck hatch is closed, and as soon as it opens the crew on the deck is going to sound the alarm. Can you and Eaubonne make this work?"
"We'll see, Stephen, I hope so, because I'm not going to let Bryana be taken back to that sick pervert." If things go South, you can't really think of much Sandra's cleric could really do to stop that from happening, but the emotion is real. "Eaubonne can switch clothes with Lady Carse, right?" You shrug and nod, "All right then, I turn to the other women, 'Who wants to kick some slaver ass?' I ask them." You roll a few reaction rolls, but considering that at least some of the women sold from the Overlord's **** auctions were from the rougher parts of town, you decide that there are enough of them willing to follow Rae's lead.
The breakout goes pretty much according to plan, or at least what you think the plan is. Rae is the first one up the ladder and through the deck hatch, and at first there is no sign of alarm. You roll again for each woman that emerges on the deck and it isn't until the fifth one that Rae's growing group of rebels are noticed. After that, all Hell breaks loose as the Rae leads her band of sisters up the steps to the quarter deck to attack the bosun who was in charge of the third watch. Without her armor and mace, Sandra's cleric is **** to fight with a makeshift belaying pin as a club. The bare-breasted cleric swings her makeshift club like an amazon and she does much better than her untrained compatriots, especially because the slavers didn't want to damage their property. However as the alarm sounded more and more of the ship's crew emerged from the foc'sle the tide slowly turns.
"Was Eauborn able to get Bryana to the rest of the party?" Sandra asks when she is the last woman standing and down to just 3 hit-points. You make a few rolls and give Sandra some good news.
"As far as Rae can tell, yes. She doesn't see Lady Carse at all but there is a heartfelt wail from the stern of the boat followed by a splash." Sandra smiles and lifts her hands in surrender.
"I give up." She announces, meekly.
"Your arms are grabbed by two of the burly sailors, one of whom is sporting a broken nose from where one of your blows landed." You tell Sandra and to your surprise she seems more excited than concerned by your description. "By now the captain has reached the deck, and the hawk-nosed officer doesn't look at all happy at your revolt."
"Rae, tries to pull free of the men holding her." Sandra tells you, "she is suddenly conscious of all the men staring at her and the fact that she has only the skimpiest of scraps of clothing covering her glistening body." You don't even bother rolling dice for this one, and when you shake your head, once again you see a hint of a smile on her face.
"What in the Hell is going on here?" You try to make it clear to Sandra just how upset the captain is to be woken in the middle of the night to find a bunch of barely clothed slaves fighting with his crew. "You can smell the Captain's bad breath as he leans over you and demands answers. How did you out of your cells? Who is responsible for this? I want names, and I want them now!" The way Sandra bites her lip makes it clear that she knows that her character is going to have to bear the brunt of the captain's rage - especially if her plan to get Bryana to safety worked. "It doesn't take long for the crew to confirm that you are one of the leaders of this revolt."
"I guess I'm in trouble ..." The tremble in Sandra's voice is the first indication that she realizes just how much trouble her character might be in. After that one instance of worry, Sandra gives a pretty little shrug that makes her breasts jiggle and adds. "I don't care what they do to me, Stephen, if Bryana is safe, I'll endure any punishment the captain wants."
What kind of punishment (if any) does Rae have to endure?
