Sean was outside his door, without a second thought he just greeted me

Sean: Hi man, so how was your first day here?

John: Well, I decided to walk around the city... Well at least the part of the city between college and here. I met the owner and bariste of the coffee shop by the college and got a job there.

Sean: Amazing! Is a great place to work, they used to live here you know. Pretty good people.

Sean looked around and got closer to me

Sean: Just between us, I think Cass has a crush on me, but she is more like a sister or daughter to me... technically more like the annoying neighbor kid that followed me around when dad was working. Good kid, but give me someone older, more mature.

Always friendly Sean keeps me there making small talk for almost an hour, and since knowing him gave me an edge on getting a job on the first, getting friendly with him seems like a good idea.
