Chapter 5 by CrawlingM CrawlingM

Does Alex test if he's got sorcerer powers?

Just a little drip on Jamie

Jamie wasn't a big fan of the TV-show, but it was an episode with a lot of nice animations so he was pretty distracted and entertained. And distracted from Alex' conspiring glances at him.

Alex figured if this was a thing, he probably should try something on Jamie to see if it works. For some reason, it felt like facts was pouring into his head as he began considering what to try out. He focused on something generic to do with Jamie and the information began trickling in.

To start with, a sorcerer has about fifty mana points and a hundred willpower points. As long as a sorcerer has willpower left, he will have a chance to resist being altered permanently. Every ten seconds a rookie caster can use 15 mana in a single burst or in a constant stream. In the same time a caster can focus to refill his mana pool, rebuild his willpower, or reduce his accumulated transformation energies by five points.

For a generic adjustment of a competing sorcerer, a mana point equaled about two transformation points. On a target with remaining willpower, half the transformation points targets their willpower

Once a target has acquired 25 transformation points, a target's physical attributes would be completely changed and they'd need to actively use their own meditation and magic recuperation to reduce the build-up of transformation energies.

Once a target gets over 50 transformation points and their willpower fails, the transformations passes a watershed into the first permanent milestone. Their default appearance and instincts now gravitate towards their new form, making it feel for them that they've lived that way for a long time. It won't make them forget their past selves or their former goals and ambitions. But now they need to invest an equal amount of mana to transform themselves back to their former shape, instead of just easily meditating it away. Also, newly acquired goals and ambitions might sabotage or overrule their old ones, if they interpret them as better than their old ones. If remaining in this state for a longer period of time, they will become more and more ingrained into this new form.

At 75 transformation points the target hits another permanent milestone. At this point their former life becomes a mere whispering voice in the back of their head, easily ignored and overruled by their new personality. They are still a powerful sorcerer, but they won't bear a grudge against the caster for turning them into what they've become. If anything, they might feel thankful for it.

A hundred transformation points is the final milestone, turning the target into

For non-sorcerers targets, however, one mana point equals twenty transformation points. Also, as soon as as a caster has invested mana into changing a non-sorcerer, they will slowly morph towards the desired end target.

Alex fluttered his eyes, a bit weirded out by the strange information filling his mind for a moment. He pondered what to do for a few moments before deciding to give a dumb idea a go.

What sort of trick would he go for?
