Chapter 6 by foxloversi foxloversi

Does she confide in Rachel?

Just a Call

Maria decided to just call Rachel and try to smooth things up, but Rachel could sense something is off. She asked Maria about the night at the club and Maria tried to play it cool, but Rachel wasn't convinced. She asked if anything happened between Maria and the stranger she was dancing with. Maria hesitated, but eventually admitted that they kissed.

Rachel was taken aback and a little judgmental, but tried to be supportive. She warned Maria that cheating on Steve could have serious consequences and urged her to be honest with him. Maria brushed it off, saying it was just a one-time mistake and she wasn't planning on doing it again.

As the conversation ended, Maria felt a mix of relief and guilt. She was glad she didn't had to lie to Rachel, but she also knew that if she tells her the whole truth about Nikolai, Rachel could be even more judgmental and worried.

As the day went by, Maria tried to push Nikolai out of her mind and focus on her daily routine. She went to the gym and tried to distract herself with exercise, hoping that the physical exhaustion would also tire out her thoughts of Nikolai. And for a while, it worked. She felt better, her body is releasing endorphins, and she was proud of herself for keeping her focus.

However, as the sun started to set and the evening approached, her thoughts started to wander back to Nikolai. It started with a small nagging feeling at the back of her mind, a craving for the pleasure she felt the night before. She tried to ignore it, but it became stronger and stronger as the evening went on.

She felt a sense of relief that the club is closed on Sundays, but at the same time, she sensed disappointed that she couldn't see him again. She wondered where he was, what he's doing. Was he thinking about her too? Maria's thoughts became increasingly vivid and focused on Nikolai now. The memory of his touch sent shivers down her spine and she couldn't seem to shake the images from her mind. She remembered the way his lips felt on hers, the way his fingers inside her brought her to ecstasy, and the thrill of him drinking her blood. She imagined him as a real vampire, and it was much less frightening than during the daylight hours. The danger of it all was still there, but it was as if the allure of Nikolai was overpowering any sense of caution.

The more she dwelled on it, the more she realized that she wanted to see him again, to experience those intense sensations once more. The guilt she had felt earlier in the day seemed to be fading away, and she felt drawn to Nikolai in a way she couldn't quite explain. It's as if her desire for him was becoming stronger with each passing moment, and her love for Steve was starting to feel like a distant memory. She knew she shouldn't feel this way, but she couldn't resist the pull of Nikolai's dangerous charm.

And that's when she heard a knock on the door.

Who was it?
