"Guess I'll just drive around for a bit."
Julies Home Life: Side Chapter
On the drive home, Julie's father wasn't saying anything to at least his daughter as he was on the phone talking with many people about his daughter, but unlike most families, the things he was saying and the way he was talking weren't things she was happy or comfortable with.
Her mother just looked at her with worry in her eyes as she tried her best to ignore the things her husband was saying about their daughter as she instead tried to learn more about her date through coded messages.
Since any time Julie ever tried to do anything with men since she was 13, her father seemed to lose his mind and kept talking about her "value" going down every time she did things that he thought were "a loss."
And that was only when she was merely existing with men near her or doing "unwomanly" things, and he'd practically lose his mind and treat her like she was doing **** if she ever tried to be romantic to any man.
Julie found comfort in being able to freely talk with her mother as much as she possibly could, as at the end of the day no one in this house truly cared if it meant angering her father.
Heck, she only managed to go to college and play tennis once her father realized that being a pro athlete and smart girl gave her more "opportunities" than it took away.
When the care finally arrived at home, Julie just walked into the manor without saying anything to anyone, as she didn't care about the Asian look or anything about how it's been changed once again to please whatever man her father was meeting.
Her room was about the only thing that's never been changed, and it was probably because of all the perverts her father has in store for her to marry, as that's apparently the only thing of worth she brings her family even though she's a once-in-a-million tennis protégée.
But he just doesn't care, as the only thing he sees in life are profits, and since she's spending more money than she's making for her own father, she might as well get married to someone double her own father's age, sometimes even triple.
Thankfully something always seems to go wrong before anything can be finalized, as it's the only reason she still has her freedom, but as she gets older, things are just going to get closer and closer, as she's eighteen, yet no one seems to be cementing their marriage to her.
"If only I could get with someone like Ben." Julie said as quietly as she could with tears rolling down her face, as this is why her taste in men is like this since there's not been a time her family has been happy except maybe when she was born.
Ever since then, her mother has had to wear so much makeup just to hide the daily beatings or "corrections," as her father calls them, since it sounds so much better than what he actually does, as the term "domestic ****" doesn't even come close.
Just like magic, her mother arrives carrying a tray of some crap she usually tries to give in order to make Julie feel better along with helping bond with her daughter, which Julie just absolutely hates, as her mother has tried to run away many times from this house but never with her.
Not until she found out she had a future in tennis, at least, as no one in this house cares for her; not a single person views her as just Julie Yamamoto and not the daughter of the Yamamoto head or the ace tennis player Julie Yamamoto.
Eating whatever snacks and tea her mother brought, Julie pretends to really care about whatever she has to say, as while she loves her mother more than her father and loves bonding with her, she isn't exactly going to really care about what her mother wants from her.
When her mother finally leaves the room, Julie just grips her tennis racket and ball and attempts to throw them both at the wall with all her might... but just stops before her arm even moves, as she knows it's not really worth it.
Looking through her clothes, she realizes her father has gone through her clothes once again, as she doesn't recognize almost any of the clothes inside her closet except for her class "Cute Asian Nerd" outfit, as she likes to call it, which is just the sailor uniform associated with anime schoolgirls.
Everything else she had no real knowledge about, any of it, but he just didn't really care, as it was all just some kind of fetish outfit without looking too perverted so that people would automatically know it was supposed to be a fetish outfit.
Thankfully, as her room doesn't get changed, she's managed to find a place to hide some loungewear that she didn't feel ashamed to wear but that at the same time was just revealing enough that her father wouldn't **** her to strip and get changed.
Flopping onto her bed, Julie wonders when she'll finally be free to love the man of her dreams or even live a normal life without having to worry about the things her father has in store for her or her mother trying to use her to be free as well.
