Journey to the Underdark

Lyra begins her journey, and soon she finds work in her local area, killing wild animals and hunting down bandits.

She has a little elven magic, and a talent for the sword and bow. She's not a legendary hero, but after a few months she's feeling confident as an adventurer for hire.

After a particularly good job, another adventurer tips her off to some good work to the north. A group of dwarven miners stumbled onto a route into the Underdark, a realm of ferocious monsters, forgotten treasures and ancient empires.

The local people are hiring adventurers to protect them from the swarms of beasts now threatening their land, and soon adventurers will be mounting voyages down into the dark in search of fortune.

Lyra travels up north, and quickly proves herself to the locals, earning enough money for a little room in the local tavern, with a bed and decent meals.

After a few simple jobs hunting beasts on the surface, she decides it is time to head into the Underdark herself.
